6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

xxx The new testament is the law of Christ, and Christ gave us many commandments to obey. If you cant claim it with a verse your in the milk understanding. If you cant dispute it with a verse your in the milk understanding. The meat understanding is done with the verses(The Word Of God). There are rules to believing. Dont think beyond what is written, or dont add one thing to the verses or take one thing away from the verses.

xxx Thoughts are in our minds but where do they come from. They come from spirits. From our birth we have had the enfluence of our guardian angel and the devil. One says do it the other says not to do it. We have always had to choose which thought to go with. But we havent always chose the right one. So God said He would give us a Helper the Holy Spirit(verses) that would discern our thoughts and give us a verse showing us who is who between them.
Rom 8:27
27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

The belief system in our minds is what the Word of God is trying to change. But first one needs to try to understand their belief system.
Our belief system is what motivates us to an action. If we run its because we believed fear. If we fight its because we believed strength. As children it was ok to believe in santa but as grown ups we change our belief. As teen agers we believed our feelings and emotions because they were knew to us and seemed to be right. As young adults we believed we could be anything we wanted to, and then we were proved wrong. And as adults we decided that everything we ever thought was wrong, and started settleing for what we could get.
Our belief system was always changing. The Word of God has veriations to it depending on what state your in when you turn to the Word. And even then there are certain steps you have to come to and go through to get to the unwavering truth of God. A beginner is a disciple they start out in the milk understanding. The time in the milk is to be used to find and locate the Holy Spirit within you. One cant go into the meat without the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Its called entering the kingdom of God led by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit only quotes verses, and He will quote them to warn you of your understanding that is coming from the unclean spirits within you.
Rom 8:27
Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
If you know and obey the Holy Spirit you will go against all your other thoughts and feelings to submit to the Holy Spirit.
Gal 4:29
But, as he who was born according to the flesh then persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, even so it is now.
Rom 8:5
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
This is the beginning of your crucifing the flesh. Because although you are walking after the Spirit you havent come to the full knowledge of Christ until you have crucified the flesh with all its emotions and feelings.
Gal 5:24
