Does the Anti-Christ knowns he is the anti-Christ?

That quote appears to be out of context, ignoring the sum of my post. Since John wrote of many antichrists even in his day, there is no way the last man "antichrist" could possibly own all the sum of what John identified as "many". All those people he referred to can't possibly be the one/same last day Antichrist, but they all share the same "father"...Satan, the devil, being children of the devil. All antichrists through the millennia make up the sum total of "antichrist". That Antichrist of the last days will be the one that fulfills prophecy, but he is not the only antichrist. It is also doubtful to me that anyone else sharing that identity would be oblivious to their choice, as it is advised of John for believers to know who they are. If believers can know that, then the various antichrists exhibit sufficient attributes to identify themselves to us as part of that evil family.

Is the anti Christ born as the anti Christ and knows who they are from birth, like Christ knew he was the son of God from birth? Or is the anti Christ what one person becomes? I don't think one can know who they will become unless they can foresee the future. For example, Hitler was a relatively unknown soldier during WW1, and yet look at what he became. But his future would not have been known to him,
As far as i'm aware, Satan as a finite being , cannot know the future, only God can, for this reason, the anti Christ probably does not know they are the anti Christ.

Well it does reference bible verses, James 1:5-23. And your nickname and informal language style assumes to me that you are of African descent and enjoy the company of teenagers and possibly rappers :) Joking.
The sea is the Mediterranean sea, sea in scripture is often a reference to the Gentile nations surrounding Israel, in the Mediterranean sea. Whereas "land" on the other hand, refers to the nation of Israel. The anti-Christ's body will come from there, genetically or in spirit he will be part Greek, part Roman and (secretly, like Hitler was) part Jewish (the book of Daniel reveals this information). The abyss is the bottomless pit, the deepest part of hell where the anti-Christ's spirit comes from. Does this make sense? This is another way of saying he's a really bad guy who is a Gentile but has Jewish ancestry. The Bible could just say this but saying "rises out of the sea, and abyss" is much more vivid and easier for the reader to remember, keeping in mind that John was watching a movie in God's cinema, so what he saw was all in pictures.
Ummm, I waz lookin' fer duh non-existent James 15:23 verse. :)
Yer first glance assumptions about me are mistaken. I'm neither African nor a teenager. I'm jus' a plain o'l white North American and a Pensioner.
And, having been previously employed as managing editor of a Christian magazine, I'm with adequate vocabulary. :)
Itz jus' that I've chosen to scale down my vocabulary and sentence structure in here with the hope to encourage my being welcomed.
Anyways, thanks for giving answer to my question.
Evidently, you prefer to interpret the verse in as being 'literal'; as opposed to being 'figurative' and/or allegorical. However, you did quickly add: "John was watching a movie in God's cinema, so what he was was all in pictures".

Yes, the Book of Revelation is mostly a parade of pictures; perhaps a better word: 'parables;. (Matthew 13:34). Our task is to have these pictures, (which are drawn from the canvas of the visible world), to give us insight into the canvas of the invisible world. This is in keeping with Rom 1:20, "God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made ..." .
Throughout the scriptures we encounter pictures and/or parables which are intended to help us visualize invisible/spiritual realities. The "things which have been made" reveal invisible realities and therefore we Christians too are "without excuse".

The identity of the beast is quite another matter. The problem is not that the Beast remains hidden from our view. Rather, it's that many are much too afraid to speak it's name aloud.
"Look around you!", is the refrain. The Beast is rising and is becoming increasingly visible. Look around you. The identity of the Beast is being clearly revealed in your midst. No one needs to be especially gifted to identity it. It's staring you in the face!

The Beast is not a specific man nor particular clergy; although many of these are indeed frantically seeking to cooperate with it.
To begin with, the task of identifying the spirit of the anti-Christ is made easier because we know that it's primary function is the origin of all falsehood ... lies. So, you would do well by beginning to focus on a propagator of lies and you will be well on your way to identifying the suffocating influence of the anti-Christ. It's always the entrance of the suffocating lies first and then the compelling powers demanding that the people subjugate themselves to them.

"Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ”. The counterfeit reality is by its very nature in a permanent crisis of legitimization. Because its captive to its own lies, it must falsify everything. It pretends to pretend nothing. Because it is so utterly foreign to the composite of man, (“no so from the beginning”), it is an artificial amalgam held together through violence. This is why falsehood and delusion are so essential to it.

When people suppress the truth and worship the created things, (counterfeit reality), they succumb to darkened minds and folly and become overwhelmed by a sense of induced powerlessness. So it is that people live within a lie.
In most cases, it is not as if the multitudes happily accept the delusional web; rather, it is that they have accepted their life with it and in it. They unwittingly confirm the lie, fulfill the lie and ultimately become the lie.

Our triumph over the demonic system occurs as we overcome the “present evil epoch” (aion) who “has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ”. In this sense, we “redeem the time”, (Col 4:5). The wonderful testimony of our gospel is not that it is a convincing substitute for the counterfeit reality; rather, it is in its being hated by it. Thus, our gospel has no need of salesmanship because genuine reality is eager to confirm it."

Additionally, I don’t believe that nominal Christians today are fully cognizant of the dramatic meaning behind Cain's desire to build himself a city. Not unlike earthly Jerusalem, Cain's city too is a visible image of an invisible reality. By its very construct, Cain's city was fundamentally opposed to God; a counter-creation possessing a negative spiritual identity ... a counterfeit reality.

Cities throughout the Bible are parables revealing a pervading domination system which violently compels to subjugate and control in order to sustain itself. This explains why violence adorns its very core.
The birth of our modern cities and the dominating powers behind them goes back to Uruk in Mesopotamia, 4th millennium BC; and other great cities like Ninevah, Khorsbad, Nimrud, Babylon and so on. The city was the center of political and religious culture. Its walls were not only physical but also spiritual; thereby giving the pretense of form, purpose and meaning to man's counterfeit and alienated existence.
At the moment that Cain decided to "build himself a city", he began to sanctify, justify and glorify the violence (against the human spirit) contained within it. Cain's city especially has spiritual significance because it's capable of directing and changing a man's spiritual life. It brings its domination powers to bear in man and swallows up his life, (his entire being, not simply his 'house'). And that is both the fearful legacy of Cain and also its dreadful mystery.
From the times of Cain, Nimrod, and through to Babylon, (including our present day), the city represents a desire to violently dominate and destroy the intents and purposes of God towards man.

Less and less people are able to intuitively realize that, underneath and within their social, economic, cultural and political institutions, are profound spiritual realities which must be confronted. Every aspect of our visible world has spirit at its core. This knowing is critical if we wish to give shape to our faith and prayer.

We would also do well to make a distinction between ‘shadow of death’ and the ‘spirit of death’.
The spirit of the anti-Christ can be likened to the spirit of death in that it forms a ‘shadow of death’ which encompasses everything we know and experience .. every minute of our every day.
While the ‘shadow of death’ is related to every cultural, political, economic and religious activity, the ‘spirit of death’ is the predominant power behind the shadow … what one could define as the spiritual power which is the origin of the shadow. In a sense, those who live in the ‘shadow of death’ (under the ‘domination system’) are already tasting death … suffering various forms of poisonous damage to their inner man.

All our cultural, political, economic and religious activities give substance to this ‘shadow of death’. In other words, we are born into a social world which is the “deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in”. It is the ‘shadow of death’ which is the thief that steals, kills and destroys”. It is also the ‘shadow of death’ in 2Sam 22:5-6, “… the floods of ungodly men made me afraid”; “The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me”.

It was the ‘spirit of death’ which cast the ‘shadow of death’ after the Fall. It is the ‘spirit of death’ which interferes with the proper and orderly functions of the physical dimension itself. It could be said that while it is the ‘shadow of death’ which injures the invisible inner composite of man, it is the ‘spirit of death’ which is the lawless agent that degenerates and profanes the laws and substance of the God’s creation. It is the ‘spirit of death’ which attacks the "blue prints of life" and overwhelms the laws of God’s creation. It is the 'spirit of death' which alters and damages the substance of this physical world.

Since the Fall, the entire visible creation has been suffering under the ‘spirit of death’. For example: there is multiple evidence that genetic damage can be caused by man-made effluents and pollutants which can affect the very survival of a species and alter their evolutionary destiny. So too, genetic damage can be caused by lawless influences and pollutants from out of the invisible world which degrade and alter the intrinsic creation laws of God operative in the human body.

Today cultural Christianity speaks about the necessity of evil and humanity’s common identity and bondage in guilt. They participate in an unconscious conspiracy with the ‘domination system’. Everyone knows of the fallacy and yet deny that the fallacy exists and continue their unwitting participation and involvement with the devices behind the ‘shadow of death’.
Cultural Christianity prompts a docile acceptance of the ‘shadow of death’; still more have eagerly become complicit with it and find no shame in their having resigned to the tyranny of darkness which is unfolding as their degenerate reality. They affirm the god of Mammon without qualification, are infatuated with sin, and even take pains to testify that they can never rid themselves of it. Where there is no more wrestling with death, the struggle for genuine life is deserted and people surrender willingly to the ‘shadow of death’.

While it is true that many in these days shout about expecting God’s future, most are without the slightest inkling of what God’s absolute will is for the present. Mainstream Christianity is like a man about to be buried alive in a tunnel collapse: at first he flails blindly in the foul darkness; but when he suddenly claws through the layers of rubble, light extinguishes the darkness and refreshing air rushes in. He is once again united with the atmosphere for which he longs, even if he cannot immediately climb up into it.

Thankfully, we have a Gospel for those suffocating under the ‘shadow of death‘! It is the Gospel of the Kingdom which alone equips man with the powers of eternity as soon as they dare to open themselves to the eternal and perfect plans of God for their lives. Our inner man earnestly seeks the day that God, Who until now has been blasphemed, might at last be deservedly honored. Our Gospel testifies that we, as the living seed of the God’s Kingdom, have been entrusted with the spirit of life.
Therefore, we remain “aliens” and “foreigners” to this present world order precisely because we are citizens and ambassadors of an eternal divine order. To testify otherwise causes the message of our gospel of restoration to become a Utopian fantasy, a self-deceiving madness.

Thankfully, our Gospel has its roots in the certainty that every person and atmosphere now straining under the ‘shadow of death’ can be truly freed and restored to the original intentions of God. I am not speaking here about a movement of conscience which might camouflage itself as socialism or communism or other such “isms” Ours is not the task to remedy the coercive powers. The domination system (‘shadow of death’) is beyond both contempt and repair.
Rather, ours is the task to triumph over the ‘spirit of death’ and it’s suffocating shadow by becoming “equipped for every good work” and thereby immune to its killing spirit and degenerate constraints. In this way, we disarm the tyrant of the earth and strip him of power to occupy our land and to destroy his evil achievements and works.

Cultural Christianity says: depart this world and go to the other! But Jesus says: The kingdom of God will come to this world!
Cultural Christianity speaks of a transition from the visible to the invisible; but Jesus spoke of something entirely the opposite; a transition from the invisible to the visible.
Cultural Christianity tempts us to give up being godly, but it is precisely because the Word became flesh in Jesus that permits us full Redemption.
So it is that our Gospel has us desiring nothing else but to become truly human (the ultimate intention of God with man);
His Seed (Word) has been planted in the earth (us) and we earnestly await His glory to be revealed in us.
This is the festival of our hearts; the embryo of our eternity!

Thankyou for your great post. Some things are literal and other things are not literal, and we can find that out by letting scripture interpret scripture. In this case, I believe the beast is a literal singular being, by examining the cross references from other passages and other books (such as Daniel), and 2 Thess 2:3. We can also know that Revelation 13 is speaking about a literal singular being by comparing with Rev 9:11 , Rev 17:8. The beast is actually the Caesar Nero, who was yet to come when John wrote Revelation. It is his spirit which will come from the abyss to fill the body of the anti-Christ in the last days.

But yes as you said, there is also a general anti-Christ or beast-like thing, which will ultimately become (or already are) the beasts worshippers/followers. For example, the Roman Catholic church and her protestant daughters, the democratic nature of our Western society, the rule of law, the reliance upon technology, the engaging in warfare, the travel, the multi-culturalism, these are all (spiritually) qualities of the Roman Empire, the fourth beast of iron, mentioned in the book of Daniel, which will remain until the anti Christ (the man - not the spirit or principle of, which is already here) comes.

Hello James.

In your post #22 you made the following claim regarding the antichrist.
As far as i'm aware, Satan as a finite being , cannot know the future, only God can,
for this reason, the anti Christ probably does not know they are the anti Christ.
As far as your claim is concerned James, I would disagree with your claim. The
available evidence in the scripture seems to indicate that the demonic realm is
very aware of their opposition to God. These demons are fully aware of their future fate.

Mark 1:24
'What business do we have with each other, Jesus of Nazareth?
Have You come to destroy us?
I know who You are—the Holy One of God!

These demons knew who Jesus was and that was without the Holy Spirit's intervention.

The demons also knew that they would be destroyed by Jesus Christ at a future date.
There was no mystery about future events as far as the demonic realm is concerned.

There was no revelation of the Christ needed by the demons, because they knew exactly
who Jesus was, and that they would be destroyed by Him eventually. Devils know God
better than we know God James, they inspire books about the Bible and books about God.

Satan can appear to us as an angel of light, Satan is behind all the cults and many so
called Christian churches. All the deception we encounter is sourced by the master of the
deception itself, Satan. The devil controls the world and is extremely intelligent, this fellow
is no fool when it comes to knowing the scripture.

I would not be at all surprised if the antichrist is fully aware of his mission and his identity.

After all this antichrist will be God to humanity, according to Paul in (2 Thessalonians).

Devils have existed for a very long time and were formerly angels in heaven, James.

They know the game and they also know there fate, their time is short though.

DHC, the demons and satan, including the anti Christ are not omniscient like God is, and they cannot know the future. Of course, demons will know they are going to be destroyed, in future, just like we know that we will all die one day. But this is not the same as knowing the future as God does. Matthew 24:36 - not even the angels know, let alone the fallen angels and demons. Devils know God better than we do? That's nonsense. Devils are not God's sons, they don't have the indwelling Holy Spirit, Christians are daughters and sons of God, Christians know God better than anyone, including the angels. 1 John 3:1, 2 Cor 6:18.

@ Itz Me

Interesting post to say the least. A couple of things stood out to me. I hope you can help me with them.

Curious. Your writings would suggest the implication that scripture with its use of pictures/parables would have us involved in "invisible/spiritual realities" due to its reflective nature of the temporal world. Would not the literary style have just as much to do with the usage of pictures and parables?

Another question from something that you tossed in there. Are you asserting a Kingdom Now type of theology?

You are welcome to PM with your answers, since this is really off the thread topic.
Thanks in advance.

P.S. I would suggest that you not do as you stated " Itz jus' that I've chosen to scale down my vocabulary and sentence structure in here with the hope to encourage my being welcomed.". Otherwise you would be no different from the society that would manipulate truth within the "shadow of death" you speak of. If you had scaled down for the purpose of understanding that would be fine, but for the purposes of being welcomed? As a brother in Christ you are welcomed regardless of level of the communication. You will find that many here have no problem, stating, "what are you talking about?". or asking for clarification.

Christians are daughters and sons of God, Christians know God better than anyone, including the angels. 1 John 3:1, 2 Cor 6:18.

Hey James,

I had always thought we were on the same level as the elect angels, not necessarily above them:

Revelation 19:
9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed [are] they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. 10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See [thou do it] not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Revelation 22:
8 And I John saw these things, and heard [them]. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. 9 Then saith he unto me, See [thou do it] not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.

They don't understand God's grace maybe in the same way we do, because they have never personally experienced grace. But, they do know his holiness quite well. Also, they do get to watch us and look into what God is doing in us sinful humans and see his mercy, grace, and love.

Idk, I just guess I have never heard that we are in any way better than the elect angels, and thus get to know God better than they do.

Grace to you,

Travis

The Scripture shows that angels are inferior to Christ and inferior to us:
1. Unlike angels, mankind is created in God's image (Gen 1:27). This is why God hates angel worship, as He hates animal worship, because God hates to see His image worshiping His inferior creation.
2. God never sent His Son to die for the angel's sins, there is no redemption for angels, God never says that He loves the angels as He loved the world (John 3:16).
3. Christians will judge the angels (1 Cor 6:3)
4. The angels are our servants (Heb 1:14).
5. The angels don't accept our worship, because they know that they are not higher than us (Rev 22:9).
6. Christians are sons of God in unity with the Son of God who is Lord of Lords and King of Kings. Because of our union with Christ we are higher than angels. Our spirit is joined to the Holy Spirit (1 Cor 6:17) and we have the mind of Christ (1 Cor 2:16). God has entrusted the Gospel, not to angels, but to men, and the angels are merely observers and participants as servants (1 Peter 1:12).
7. God has given everyone an angel (Acts 12:15, Matt 18:10), because we are important.
8. Angels don't get to share Christ's throne or sit beside Him (Mark 10:40, Rev 3:21)
9. Angels don't get to be co-heirs with Christ (Rom 8:17)
9. Everything that God has done is so that He can live with mankind in the New Jerusalem (Rev 21:3).

From these points we can see that human beings are very important to God, even more important than angels. The fact that angels are supernatural and eternal is beside the point - we will be supernatural and eternal too one day. God's plan in creation was to create human beings and elevate them to a status higher than angels to be co-heirs with Christ, as His sons. Satan on the other hand considers human beings inferior and worthless, and probably driven by great jealousy and pride, caused Adam and the Woman to fall.

Hi Travis,

do you have any scripture that shows that angels are on the same level?

Hey again James,

Well, ya I kind of do have some scripture. Those two I put in my last post, from Revelation 19 and 22. The angel refer's to himself as a fellow-servant, the same word used for other human believers earlier in chapter 6:

Revelation 6:11 KJV
And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they [were], should be fulfilled.

There is no higher calling for a created being than to be a bond-servant of the Most High God. Also, I think angel's are also referred to as the sons of God (Job 1:6; 2:1; 38:7). Are they not then our brethren, in the sense that we have the same Father? I guess I'm just not convinced that we are better than the elect angels. Not that this is a really big issue or anything, I just wanted to hear more about what you had to say on the point.

Grace to you,

Travis

The two you posted before were good but the fellow servants in Rev 6:11 is not talking about angels. Scripture says that God never called an angel his son (Heb 1:5). Yet God calls Christ, and us, his sons. Angels are inferior ministering servants. In terms of service to God, we and angels are on the same level, under God. In terms of position and nature, we are higher, because we have the life of God's Son, Christ.

Hi! James1523'
I note your reference to Rev 9:11 and 17:8 and wish to give contribution to it.
You accompanied the reference with a comment saying: "The beast is actually the Caesar Nero, who was yet to come when John wrote Revelation. It is his spirit which will come from the abyss to fill the body of the anti-Christ in the last days".
Ummm, there are two simultaneous developments which have been maturing since the Fall:
1. The revealing of those baptized with the Spirit of God. (wheat / sons of God)
2. The revealing of those baptized with the spirit of the anti-Christ. (weeds / sons of Perdition)

The spirit of the Anti-Christ is producing weeds … sons of perdition.
Contrary to the view of some participants in here, we shouldn’t be isolating a particular religion and naming it the Anti-Christ. The appearing of the Anti-Christ is not confined to a particular religion or belief system. Rather, the appearing of the Anti-Christ is revealed in the sons of Perdition; in a similar fashion to the appearing of Jesus in the Sons of God.
These are not identified by the religion which they might subscribe to; they are primarily identified by their abhorrence of the truth; their attachment to evil, their hatred towards the Kingdom of Light. As such, these sons of perdition can be found belonging to any number of groups or religions. After all, religions allow their members to express what is already their inner possessions. So, in this respect, it’s not the religions per say that are the Anti-Christ; religions are merely the gathering places for the sons of Perdition … religions behave similar to the occult tower of Babylon. It’s the not tower that's evil … rather, it's the persons who entered the tower; those who climbed up “into the heavens” illegally via witchcraft/occult.

The Old Testament speaks at length about how it was that “noble plants” degenerated into “strange vines” while the New Testament speaks about the planting of a “tender plant”.

Over the centuries, the bounty of the anti-Christ was already becoming evident, (as described in Deut 28:15-31). This is the reason that John could plainly say, “This is that [spirit] of anti-Christ, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world”.

The maturing of the weeds is also an appearing, a coming which is similar in form to that of Jesus’ coming. The Bible says that, “when the fullness of the time was come”, the “tender plant” of Jesus, (Isaiah 53:2) was ‘planted’ in the field. And, simultaneous to the appearance of the “tender plant”, the weeds were already in the process of being “gathered to be burned”.

The spirit of the anti-Christ was already producing weeds (a counterfeit species) long before; in fact, centuries before. Jeremiah had already spoken of this many years earlier saying, “Yet I had planted thee a noble vine, wholly a right seed: how then art thou turned into the degenerate plant of a strange vine unto me?” Similarly, the scripture reads, “I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more. Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the Lord build the ruined [places, and] plant that that was desolate: I the Lord have spoken [it], and I will do [it]”.

So it is that weeds have been sown throughout the generations but the wheat was once again planted with the birth of Jesus. Concerning the “strange vines”, Jesus declared, “Every plant which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up”. For example: the weeds were sown as “children of the wicked one” but, at the time when they are completely bundled to be burned, they have become mature “sons of perdition”. (“Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?”).

In the same manner, the wheat was planted as “children of God” but, at the time of their appearance “in clouds of glory”, they have become mature “sons of God”. (“… thy soul shall live, and this city shall not be burned with fire; and thou shalt live, and thine house”).

While the wheat is preoccupied with the “substance of things unseen”, the weeds are nurtured by falsehoods fixed on the things which are visible.

In other words, the kingdom of darkness supplants reality through a counterfeit reality with the domination system at its core. This domination system has its tangible temples and commandments and symbols demanding obedience. Thus, the “weeds” have their false hopes manifested in the same reality with which they are preoccupied, (earth), while the wheat have their hopes manifested in the invisible dimension, (heavens).

In a way it could be paraphrased as, ‘For where your treasure is manifested reveals your reality also’. Therefore, it should not surprise us that the cultural, (unfaithful), church has as its primary centerpiece the visible temples and visible symbols in a visible geographical Israel. This will continue and with even greater intensity as the end times unfold, “if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect”.

I think you mean the tower of Babel. Yes it's the people, but the tower, the religions, etc, are the produce, of the tares. If there were no tares, there would be no false religions, there would be no tower of babel, there would be no human governments opposed to God.

Sister Property,An interesting question. I consider the following. 1. Before Jesus arrived on the earth,he was first announced.( John 1:19-34) And the person preparing the way for Jesus,I do believe the enemy will have the same kind of preparation. The reason I see it in this light is because of this.( Isaiah 14:13-14!!) Verse 14! I will make myself like the most High!

2. I do believe he will know who he is,for when you come upon a police officer,or a fireman for example, and ask him who he is, can one not see for themselves? The deceiving part of Anti Christ to me is not in who he is,but rather what he represents to those who look upon him.The nature of the devil himself lies in two sides to his very character. 1 He is a thief( John 10:10 and 2. the father of all lies!!( John 8:44)

Truth is only a lie to someone who knows no truth,it is in this regard he will look to deceive all in. And look to rob all people of there truth to have them believe in one lie! HIMSELF! For the very nature of the enemy since the very beginning was to be worshiped as God. One who says he is the true god come back, but rather is like a synth.

A Synth is a created person posing as a real being! Remember scripture says you will know them by there fruit?( Matt 7:16-18) Now also remember this as well!!( Matt 13:14-15) When people's heart become hardened which in my humble opinion is what the enemy is looking to do to in our world( 1 Cor 4:4) and as well all know the disciples of Jesus heart were also hardened even back then!( Mark 8:52 and Mark 8:17-18!)

How hard do we think it will be for even the very elect to fall prey to him?( Matt 24:24-28!!) This is why we have God's Word to rely upon! And why Jesus said( Matt 24:42-44) The enemy will use verse 44 against the elect posing as who else?? Yep Jesus himself! SO!! Just something to consider sis, fine question!
