In the world today we are taught that there is a school for everything and without it we can do nothing to support our families. Even in the churches we are taught that without going to learn from man in seminary schools that we are not real with Christ. This teaching is never taught straight out of the mouth of people. But the teachings are still there through the actions of man.

The problem with these teachings are that there are a lot of lies and revelation of man rather than from the Lord. Take for instance the complete context of the chapter by verse studies. You can always tell the people that went to seminary school by this study. They hardly ever want to study the word of God by subject and they really hate it when other verses from other books are brought into it. They are taught that by reading 1 whole chapter they have complete context.

We for get that the words that were written were not separated by chapter or by verse. It was just one long and continual sentence. it was the group of catholics that broke the bible down into books chapter and verse. The problem with this was the catholic church at that time was not even started by the authority of Christ. But by the authority of man to gain power in the world after the fall of the roman empire. The only reason that they even got together to print the bible was because someone had left the church to print the truth.

I believe that the words of the bible are the truth and gods word. we know that gods word is perfect and has no error in it. But i believe that the way that it is divided is where the problem lies. We have over 20,000 different gospel teachings in the world today and of these 20,000 there is only one that is completely true and that is the revelation of the lord Jesus while we study the word of god and lean on him for the truth. There is nothing in the word of god about going top any school and receiving a piece of paper to tell people that we have learned the word from men.

So what does the bible truly state. Here are a few scriptures from the word of god.

2 Timothy 2:15- Study to show thyselves approved unto God, a workman that needed not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

1. This verse states to study to show ourselves approved to God not to man with a piece of paper stating that we learned from man.

2. Rightly dividing the word of truth, why would the Bible have this written in it? Because the bible in a whole is all together. Just because it was written by the Holy Spirit through many people does not mean that any chapter or verse truly stands alone. it doesn't. There are always other passages through out all of the Bible that talk bout the same subject.

Galatians 1:11-12- But i certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. 12. For i neither received it of man, neither was i taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Here, Paul points out that the word was not taught to him by man but by Jesus Christ. Do any of us dare say that Jesus will not teach us the truth of the word through his spirit who dwells in us, if in fact the Holy Spirit does dwell in us then our true learning comes from him. Not from man.

He did not have any teachers or a piece of paper to preach or to know the word of God.

2 Timothy 4:3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itchy ears;
4. And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

This is a scary verse. Especially in today's world where everyone goes to school to become a preacher and to believe every word that comes out of mans mouth concerning the gospel. They take mans teaching as if he were God. This is a very scary situation. It could be the difference in heaven and in hell.

The scripture that is being put on here next is straight out of the mouth of our Lord Jesus Christ.

John 5:39- Search the scriptures; for in them ye think that ye have eternal life: and these are those that testify of me.

Jesus even warns us of people that many believe that they are saved through the schools and what not that they got their little piece of paper from. Ladies and gentlemen this is a very serious matter for the souls of all mankind. We are not save by the scriptures but by our faith in Jesus Christ our lord and savior.

Test the spirit of those preaching to you. The bible says to respect authority it does not say that authority is always right. in the church or out of the church.

Your brother in Christ,
Chris Overy

I know that I am replying to a 4 year old post but it is an excellent exhortation.

Test the spirit of those preaching to you. The bible says to respect authority it does not say that authority is always right. in the church or out of the church.
This advice sure could have saved me lots of trouble if It had been hammered into my head from youth.

Ive been doing my best recently to "believe on the one whom God sent" and so I decided that God sent Jesus as a revelation of himself and that is LOVE.
No man can reveal that to us however there are voices in the wilderness like this post to point the Way into the Day .

ushalk: I am hoping to share some informatiom with you, from my heart. After reading your post about "Mans Revelation or Jesus Revelation" I was deeply concerned that somehow, somewhere, someone misled, and did not tell you the real truth. You are right that in some places an education is not needed for a man to support his family. In my area of Missouri the Amish children go no further than the eight grade in school. Generally the families teach their children a trade, in wood-working, farming, selling food they have rasied, baked, or grown. Some build houses, horse buggies, cabinets, and things made from leather, just to name a few trades. They live a simple life, and are hard workers, honest, and worship the LORD. Depending on the trade choosen, they can be wealthy or have just enough to live life comfortable. Often the family is large by todays standard. Generally the children help in real hard work. This lifestyle is hard, like it was in the eighteen hundreds. This is not a life for a city dweller. There is nothing wrong with living like this, and there is much to be said for families being close and working together.

Our world in which we live is changing, and in many ways for the good. Doctors help by keeping such health issues like Chickenpox, Mumps, Polio, Heart desease, are just a few areas Doctors have studied to make our life healthy, so we can live longer. To become a Doctor it takes about ten years of school beyond high school. The same is required of most speciality professons. New and better ways of doing tasks are being developed all the time. The job of any skilled person is to become aware of the latest technology. By keeping ourselves up to date and current, we have the tools to to the best at whatever our work is.

When I go to a Doctor, I want a Doctor that knows the best drug or treatment needed to take care of my medical condition. I do not want a Doctor that graduated from medical school in 1940, and has never updated their skills. The very same goes for every skill or trade, or highly educated profession. The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 10:10 "If the axe is dull and he does not sharpen its edge, then he must exert more strenght. Wisdom has the advantage of giving success." NASB. A wise person sharpens the axe and not near the strength is required. Wisdom is the learning or education to be able to accomplish more and better ways. The same is true for professions that require a continued education.

There is no reason that a person who has studied Scripture, and has a good recall of what the Bible says, that they can not teach, and is some cases preach in some places and circumstances. There are a great number of helps that anyone can learn much about the Bible. Bible customs, the meaning of words in either the Greek or Hebrew. Then there is the history of the Bible. Tthe places where people of the Bible lived, and their walk with the LORD. There is so much to learn from the Bible, no person can live long enough to do more than scratch the surface. The Bible is the WORD OF GOD! How wonderful the LORD is to have given us perfect, with error, HIS HOLY WORD, the BIBLE.

Now my friend and fellow brother in Jesus Christ, I will share with you some very important information, I tell you everything I am saying is the truth. Please before you respond to my post, pray and seek the Lord and think about what I am saying. I have been to Bible College, four years , to get a BA degree in Bible. Then I have been to Seminary and I majored in Pastorial Care / Preaching, and I received a second Masters D in Missionology. My M. DIV and MARS degrees took 5 years. For my education investment cost me nine years and thousand's of dollars. I was a pastor of two small bi-vocational churches durring my education, both were Baptist churches. We had four children and my wife and me were totally committed to minister for the Lord Jesus Christ. This was by no means a easy time for us or on our children. This took real dedication on all our part working together.

Never did I hear lies. The only revelations that I came to be aware of, was the last book in the Bible. Dear friend, most certianly we did learn to study, and preach in context and by subject. The very best way to preach is verse by verse, and on special times like Fourth of July, Memoral day, Christmas special sermons were inline with those holidays. I can assure you no one ever suggested just teach on one chapter, and move to some place else. One reason for studying Church History to help others understand truth and the history of the Bible. The Geneva Bible was first published in 1560 as the complete Bible. In 1557 the Geneva New Testament was published. The Geneva Bible was the first Bible to add nunbered verses to the chapters. In 382 Jerome's Latin Vulgate Manuscripts Produced which contain all 80 Books (39 Old test.+ 14 Apocrypha + 27 New Test). The King James Bible had all 80 books and not until 1885 did the Apocrypha be removed. The orignal King James Bible was not a Protestand translation. This is a real awakening to those who are King James Bible only people.

Many Bible translators were burnt at the stake for trying to translate the Bible into the peoples language. There is a long history of men and women killed for their love of Christ and His Word.

I have never heard of 20,000 different gospel teachings before. However I am sure a preacher could easily preach 20,000 sermons from just the New Testament. The Rabbi's of Jesus time, and long before studied the Scrolls and were required huge amounts of memorization of Scripture. To become a Rabbi or Scribe, required much learning as well. As for "There is nothing in the Word of God about going to any school and receiving a piece of paper to tell people that we have learned the Word from men." I am sure that most learning is from one person teaching someone else. That's what a preacher does/ The Holy Spirit teaches us as we rerad the WORD of GOD.

When a church calls a pastor and he says he has been a pastor at such and such a church, usually he gives a paper of his references, that is his word to you. The Bible College or Seminary has the same thing, that paper states he has completed courses in areas of the Bible, and his spiritual walk is genuine. Sunday School is a place of learning for children and adults. Recognition of learning is important. If I state I know something, and have spent large amounts of time studying on a subject of the Bible and passed a test of my knowledge on that Bible subject, that piece of paper gives you some assurance.

By no means does education mean a person is called to preach. Only a congregation of believers can feel the call of God on the person they feel God has sent to then. This is a very serious call, and the person you call had better have a good working knowledge of the Bible. The time invested to become a good pastor / preacher is proven by the love and care given to the flock God has given him.

I sincerely hope this will give you some serious thoughts to think upon. Blessings to you ushalk.

God reveals His Truth in the hearts of men who have opened up their hearts. Education isn't necessarily a complete waste of time in and for the things of God, but shouldn't the first thing always be to seek His kingdom and His righteousness as Jesus told us? When we really seek things in the order that Jesus said to seek them, will not everything be added to us according to the needs that God alone really understands?

Formal schooling is not a terrible thing, neither in secular things nor in the things of God, but how long do we suppose the Peter, the apostle attended university? Is it a given that the smarter, better educated people are always going to be the closest ones to God?

How many books do we suppose that Abraham owned or read? Isn't it better to come to Jesus with the innocent and inexperienced mind of a child than with the well traveled experience and ordered in the ways of this world? How many learned ways of man have to be set aside or overcome before we can be used of the Lord in the manner that He wants to use us? Paul, we know, was well-educated in the schooling of men supposedly in the scriptures themselves, but it was not that schooling that turned him around to God, but rather his encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus.

How places of dead works exist under the label of Christianity in this country, the United States? Alas, too many it would appear from the appearance of the people and their works. Where are the 80 plus per cent of the population who supposedly are followers of Jesus? Where is the love of God in all of these? Why is it that even good manners is so often the exception rather than the rule? Why is it that selfishness is sovereign in so many hearts rather than tenderness and mercy toward our fellow man?

In the church buildings perhaps we can see and hear some "good" things, but what is seen and heard in the marketplace?

Help us all dear Lord!

My point is that there are to many false teachers out there that think because they went to some semenary school they are and know the truth. unfortunately they do not know the truth. Jesus and only Jesus can reveal the deeper truths of his word to us. 95% of all false doctrines and teachings come out of seminary school.

And if people are in tune with the Holy Spirit of God as they proclaim they will know from the counsel of the Holy Spirit if this man speaks the truth or is false. most of the people sitting in pews today are not saved and just believing such teachings as once saved always saved, get rich off of jesus and life is perfect if yoiiu know jesus and let us not mention the it is ok to chase after riches and stuff more than you worship the lord jesus.

Great post. you are right.

There was a mandate from God:
Deuteronomy 15:4 However, there should be no poor among you, for in the land the LORD your God is giving you to possess as your inheritance, he will richly bless you,

He knew they would not listen:
Deuteronomy 15:11 There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your brothers and toward the poor and needy in your land.

John 12:8 You will always have the poor among you, but you will not always have me.

Why won't we always have Jesus?

Matt 34-39 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.
35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,
36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

ushalk: Where do you get the fact of 95% of false doctrines come from Seminary'sI can not speak for all Seminary's but I would sau at least 95% of Baptist Seminary's are solid Bible believing accurate places of reafirming Scripture.

It sounds like to me that you might of had a bad experience with a seminary or someone who was a real fruit case that really caused some problems. Is this the case?

I appreciate your responce.

ushalk: You have some good points. You have hit upon a point I have been keenly aware of for many years. I am borrowing some material form NOT A FAN publisher by
Zondervan 2011. People will say a "sinners prayer" and they are fans of Jesus, just like people are fans of football players or any sport figure or rock star. However Jesus called us to be followers! Followers become so convicted of sin in their life that they confess their sin and repent. A follower is in the Word of God, and going to follow Jesus by Baptism, Their personal life reflects they are being renewed in the spirit by the Holy Spirit. Their giving is transformed, from what they earn to what God supplies hin or her with. Their possessions are now what the Lord has given. The outlook of a genuine Christian is very different, smoking, drinking, what they read and watch, and who they are friends with all reflect that they are "FOLLOWERS" of Jesus Christ, not just a fan. When a preacher just says to say this prayer after me and you are saved is misleading. Repentence is absolutely evidence of the Holy Spirit begining to transforn believers into followers.

There is a false teaching that knowing Jesus will bring wealth and health and happiness. Anyone that teaches or preaches that all you have to do is believe in your heart and have the faith you will receive what ever you want or need, is full of hogwash! Often this is called "name it and claim it" is a serious false statement. Jesus was not rich by anyone's standard when he was on earth. A Christian is different from the rest of the world, and people notice it. We will be made fun of and are open to slander, like Jesus was. Jesus is the center of a Follower of Jesus.

The once saved always saved is not the real issue. The real issue is that faith that falters had a flaw in it to begin with. If a person is a GENUINE believer- follower their salvation iis solidly in the hands of Jesus Christ. Many who have just said a prayer and no change has taken place they will hear Jesus say I never knew you. Matthew 25 explains this in great detail.

There are many examples of false preachers. One false teacher has a constant flow of feel good books, is on any talk show program that will have him. He refuses to call sin, sin. I have heard him spew forth his false understanding of what a believer is. We can just all be happy and trust in God. Yet I haave seen him on the 700 Club, and on other late night tv programs. People are so glad to believe that can go to heaven and not change a thing. Wealth is evidence that God is blessing them. This is what many pew sitters believe. Unless a Pastor has gumption and is a fellower himself, the church will not be a genuine Bride of Christ.

We are in the later days and there is nothing that has to take place forl Jesus to return. In the USA we have so many signs that we are under Gods direct action like floods, tornadeos, earthquakes, fires, and wars, what else does God need to do. America needs to get right, killing babies is murder, homosexuality is a sin, there is no such thing as same sex marriage in the eyes of God. In my opinion we are even more reprehemsible than Sodom ever might have been. The United States is in very bleak times. There are many good things about our country, but the bad issues are not taken very seriously, God help the USA.

Some scepticism in academic achievement is healthy - we should be ready to test what our teachers are bringing to us regardless of their credentials.

But I would question why an uneducated understanding of our faith should be better than an educated one. God has given some people remarkable ability to study and to understand - surely it is right for those people to use their gifts to study and to share their understanding. My own faith has grown in the last five years or so because my understanding of the gospel has changed and deepend. I owe much of this to the teaching of a few brilliant academic minds. They are able to spend far longer than I am studying the word, and I am grateful for being able to benefit from their work.

Saying that Jesus and only Jesus can reveal the deeper truths of his word to us sounds like the role of the teacher is redundant - but the role of teacher well-supported biblically. I want to learn from men and women who love God with all their heart and with all their mind.

Blanket mistrust of academic learning would leave the church horribly exposed to false teaching of all kinds, and very poorly equipped to respond to it.

MYSTERY BABYLON DENOMINATION
FOREIGN MISSIONS BOARD

Rev. Saul Paul
First Christian Church
Antioch, Syria

Dear Mr. Paul:

I have your application for missionary appointment before me, and will be as frank as possible concerning your qualifications as a foreign missionary. We have to be very careful in choosing our missionaries, and our Missions Board has reviewed your case thoroughly. We have decided that it would be unwise to send you to the foreign field for the following reasons:

1. It has come to our attention that you are doing secular work on the side. We do not feel that making tents and full time ministry go together very well. It seems that you do not have enough experience in trusting the Lord for your income. You should make up your mind whether you want to preach or continue your profession.

2. Your previous actions have been very rash and unseemly for a minister. We learned that in a public meeting you opposed Dr. Simon Peter, an esteemed minister with a high reputation. We also hear that you argued so violently with some of our ministers that a special council meeting had to be called at Jerusalem to prevent a serious split in the churches. We frown on such radicalism. For your own good, I am enclosing a copy of Daius’ Carnegus book on “How to Win Jews and Influence Greeks.

3. We understand that you do not agree with all the points in our constitution end by-laws, and do not even believe in all our doctrines. In checking back, we discovered your Christian education consisted of a three year course in Arabia. We find that the Arabian school has not been approved by our accreditation board and we hear that there
are some strange unknown doctrines being taught in that school.
We also hear a rumor that; you are a snake handler.
Such a reputation could only hurt the true cause of Christ and the Church.
We don’t have all the details on that episode at Melita, but we understand you claimed immunity to harm from
snake bite through a promise of Christ.
It has come to the attention also that you preach much about “the Power of God “, and “the gifts of the Spirit”.
Also that you speak in tongues a great deal. Surely you realize that such as this only drives off the better class of people, and attracts only the riff-raff.
It would be better to tone down those more sensational forms of worship.
You sound as though you are “off the deep end”, and it has been proven to our satisfaction that you had hands
laid on you at Antioch with prophecy going forth, with none of the Apostles or Headquarters brethren present to
conduct this ordination services in the prescribed manner.
You must remember that prophecy is a dangerous thing unless handled properly, end we fear that you are associated with that “so called New order of the Early Rain”.
Stay away from that brand, it could ruin your ministry.

4. We see here that you have a jail record in several places. If this is true, it puts you in a bad light, for our denomination has always stood for a high standard of holiness, and I fear it would damage our reputation to have someone representing us that had served time in jails and prisons. Frankly, Mr. Paul, we seriously doubt you could have been innocent and the judge wrong in so many cases. It just doesn’t look right.

5. It seems that you are a trouble maker Mr. Paul. Several business men of Ephesus have written us that you were the cause of severe loss of business to them and even stirred mob violence. You must learn to cultivate the friendship and influence of men such as these. We also have some details of a lurid”over the wall in a basket” episode at Damascus, plus a stoning at Lystra, and several other violent actions taken against your ministry. Haven’t you ever suspected that conciliatory behavior and gentler words might gain you more friends? We have never condoned such sensationalism in the ministry. This is just not the type of ministers that we send out. We have learned through channels that following some trouble with a preacher on the island of Cyprus, you had to change your name. This does not seem to us to be conduct becoming to the ministry.

6. You admitted in your application that in the past you neglected such needy fields as Bithynia, just because “the Spirit didn't lead that way”, and that you undertook a hazardous journey on the strength of a dream you had at Troas. Mr. Paul, surely you don’t expect us to go along with such flimsy and fantastic excuses for your seemingly purposeless wanderings. Many times you did not stay long enough, in our opinion, to get a church established.
You left your converts many times without even a pastor to guide them,
and without setting the church in order ins some good fundamental denomination.
We hear also from Troas that you preach too long, one sermon lasting almost twenty-four hours,
even to the extent that a young man fell asleep and was seriously injured. We Understand that you
claim to have restored his life and raised him from the dead by falling on him and embracing him.
What nonsense! If the man was injured, you should have called in a competent physician and had a rigid
physical examination made. And instruct the church to carry sufficient liability insurance to take care of a situation
like that. We need practical men in the ministry, Mr. Paul, not high strung emotional radicals.
Our advice is for you to shorten your sermons considerably. We find that about twenty minutes
is the longest a minister can hold the attention of his audience these days. our motto is “Stand up, speak up, and shut up”.

7. We understand from your own home church that you could not get along with your fellowministers,
that John Mark, a commendable young man and nephew of one of our leading ministers, had to leave your
party in the middle of a journey, and that you had a violent quarrel with gentle, good natured Barnabas.
Now these men are well thought of in Jerusalem, and we wonder why you are always having trouble with your
fellow workers ? We have notarized affidavits from three fine brethren, Diotrephes, Demas, and Alexander,
to the effect that it is impossible for them to co-operate with either you or your program.
From what we hear, you seem to have a self-exalted spirit, boasting about your revelations and
that God has chosen you to reveal some “new Mystery”.
Can’t you realize that any new truth that is to be revealed would come through Headquarters
to the recognized, more mature brethren, and that after it had been
checked by our Procedure and Doctrine Committee that we would pass it on to the ministry?

On top of all that,we hear that you are claiming to be an Apostle.
We know nothing of this being passed upon by the proper authoritative channels, and wonder how you could back that claim up, when the last Apostle was voted into
office right here in Jerusalem. That is a dangerous doctrine Mr. Paul, and I advise you to forget it.

As you see, Mr. Paul, we feel definitely after close scrutiny of your case, that you are undoubtedly the most unqualified applicant we have ever seen, and my advice for you is to find a church where you can work in harmony, and use your past education as perhaps a Sunday School teacher.
I hope I have prevented you from making a terrible mistake in your life.

Most sincerely yours,
J. Flavios Fluffyhead

may be an old post but the question is still relavant today...Head knowalge vs Heart knowalge is the issue here..2tim 2;15 study to show thyself approved .a workmen needing not to be ashamed but rightly dividing the word of God.!! I hAVE MY LISCENE to miniister but God called me to ministry not man..and if i didnt have it i would be as God called me to be anyway .!man may recognise but God alone calls and anoints us to service...yes we need to study but beware of mans doctrines and run to Gods word when in doubt of what is being taught..if it dosent line up .avoid it like the plauge Many ministers i hear i dont agree with all togather but i still listen for the things of God in the message ..It reveals its self to all Who seek His will ...in spite of mans febble attempt to share it as increasing the boxes on thier forehead as a show of education obtained for thier own glory and validataion.....Rev

Thanks Rev. Be warned though, you may get tossed out of your denomination for exposing an error,I did...in fact the more I studied to show myself approved the less men approved and after 5 years of intense study I could no longer find a church who could put up with my questions.I have never gotten around to teaching because the courtyard is stocked with cattle. So I am just splitting cows until the church wakes up.
I get accused of being a heretic because I have the audacity to ask questions about unsupportable doctrines.

The first sign of error is that the doctrine does not edify anyone, but divides..

The second sign is it invokes doubt, fear or uncertainty, gospel means good news and good news does not invoke fear,he has not given us a spirit of fear.

The third sign is a big inclusion to exclusion ratio.
Certain popular doctrines attract target groups that are known to spend more money than others, the truth brings enemies and pressure and provides no worry incentive because I can't tell them they are "robbing God" by not tithing.

The forth sign is abnormal focus where some dynamic truth is magnified into a feel good message that loosens purse strings. Unfortunately many ministries who don't like the first three negative effects end up reverting to this method because it works and it causes rapid growth and excellent cash flow. They end up being a snake oil show and will update you regularly on how many souls(apparently some kind of church currency reward system) were won this week.

All these things cause blow-back damage in people's lives and it is...rrr...Umm... thank you Jesus.
I don't want to sound bitter,I miss the worship and fellowship and I hope to return someday when people become interested in helping the lost and actually pray and believe and dig for the truth without fear of offending some entity standing over your head with a hammer.

I'm thankful for the warning and that's why I don't claim or reverence any one denomination I figure they can't kick me out of Christ so I claim Christianity only...but I do wonder when it comes to changing the status que if not me Lord whom shall you send..? It's not always easy to be a Jonah you know ..Had a pastor friend do a service once on the spiritual salt lick and how the church lined up every Sunday to sing moolalueah It brought revival to the congregation ..God is exposing the church and challenging it to step up and be right and led by Father God and not man ... He is trimming the wicks and preparing a spotless bride by shining His Holy light on what we have called the church....Rev

I answered to the S. Baptists and AoG, "proving" I administered "official" doctrine by submitting to the required curriculum. The result was to realize God never called me to be a pastor in the first place. Look. Please understand that each denomination exists by preserving it's own set of perspectives of scriptures (church doctrines). I have no argument with that. It prevents a creeping in of false doctrines. None of them should accept a minister that refuses to adopt their beliefs. I totally agree. It might come a time when it is proper for the minister to depart as soon as realizing there is disagreement in doctrine. I departed over questioning the British/Israel blessing/N. American/Israel blessing issue, all from BELOW (Devil), and the issue of divorce removing ministers, and the unfounded "Church-Bride of Christ" issue, all now properly dealt with by the AOG. But, too late for me. It just wasn't proper for me to question such things before national conventions dealt with them.

As for seminaries, most instructors are entrenched, there till they die. I've sat listening to Baptist and AOG professors ridiculing belief in creationism based on Genesis, and denouncing the idea of miracles as appropriate for our age. The main idea of seminaries is SUBMISSION to those who have authority over us. The student must simply pay the price, pass through, then get over whatever happened there. Upon arriving at an appointed ministry, find out what is expected, then supply that. Somewhere in that mix, be a BIBLE student approved of GOD, and feed those people assigned to you the truth. You can do it without alarming the district superintendents.

Whether you remain connected to a mainline denomination, or end up non-denominational like me, God is the ONE who decides how His chosen vessel will be used. Submit to God. He will direct you.
Jim
