Romans 7

5 For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused
by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death.

6 But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what
we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and

The law stimulates the sinful passions?

You NEED to take that from Romans 6:1 to Romans 8:39 to get all of what Paul is saying here. You CANNOT take a couple verses here and see the entire picture. Try that and read it in a few different versions of the Bible. I myself like the KJV, the Youngs, The Complete Jewish Bible and the Amplified. Read them all, for example, they will fill your understanding a bit better. Hey! Also ask the HOLY SPIRIT what HE says too. HE's a wonderful teacher.

Romans 7 is the state of a man in relationship to the law of sin and death under moses. It ends with the solution! Giving thanks through Jesus.

Romans 8 is the state of a man delivered from that relationship to the law of sin and death through recieving the Holy Spirit of Christ into us, by which we now are enpowered to walk sinless in newness of life, no longer a servant to sin, but now a servant to righteousness!

Praise Jesus!!

see what
and why
Paul is saying/writing
what he did

sometimes
most times
we (speaking for most)
tend to major on minors
and completely miss the major

a pizza with the lot
can also be a myriad of different ingredients
flavours
colours
smells
but as a pizza
it is a meal
and if a family sized
or body sized
there is plenty of all the ingredients
together
to feed everyone
at the table

go back and re-look at the complete
whole letter
and then you may see
what
and why
Paul said all that stuff

it wasn't for mini doctrines
or separate ingredients
it is a good hearty meal though!

ever tried blended pizza
or pizza soup
chewed properly/thoroughly does the same
