Hi guys and girls!

Tammi is happy to meet some new friends and get encouragement on her quest for Jesus through this forum!!!

I know it's very simple theoratically- just have faith and be disciplined :) It is hard in practise though, I seem to keep repeating the same mistakes.

Guess I should just read the Bible, be patient and after a while pieces will fit in their place. I'm not expecting easy life and prosperity,

I know it doesn't work like that and, to be honest, I don't care about that.

All I want is to strengthen my faith and get the power God promises us, the strength to endure every situation and resist wickedness. To be healed and to heal.

To understand and be more like Jesus and, eventually, help the others come to Him.

God bless,

Tammi :) xxx

Welcome, Tammi. You will find a lot of love here on this forum.

A lot of people think Christianity is a list of do's and dont's. No doubt, there are things Christians should do, and things Christians should avoid. However, it works more like this:

Spend lots of time in prayer with Jesus and in study of His Word and doing things He calls you to do to serve others, and He will supernaturally change you. When that happens, you don't even notice the "don'ts" as they disappear. And the "do's" will amaze you when you see Him manifesting in you.

Looks to me like you've got the most important basic truths down in this walk with our Lord. May the LORD bless you and keep you as you grow and mature.

welcome to T J ..may this be where you find peace encouragement and those of like precious Faith ...I know this has been a point of
fellowship with Christ for me and am sure it will be for you as well ..Blessings and greetings in the name of our Lord...Rev

Thank you all very much and God bless you!!!
I'm just watching Jesus of Nazareth......agaaaaaain!!!! :)
Lots of questions in my head, but I guess I'll ask them as I read the Bible, giving the quotes/parts I don't understand; even though I'm quite acquainted with the Bible as my mum is Christian, I've just been struggling it/going back and forth with my huge ego, but without God- there is no hope and nothing makes sense, I know that now.
God says wisdom is fear of Him...unconsciouslly, I've always had that fear....how lucky I am God wouldn't leave me alone with my stubbornness!!!!!! Now I need to sort out the "understanding"part.... and it's coming....sloooowly, I just need to read and pray, yes. but I'll need your support as well, definitelly :)
Can't wait to become useful haha and strong so that I can support/help the others!!! (I'm already telling my friends about God... and with some of them it's working already!!!)

Amen.

Hello and welcome! I'm a new Christian myself, yet I have found so many answers on this forum. Enjoy your stay here!:happykidfly:

I've read your testimony
"I am so thankful that Jesus found me and turned me on the right path. He had been knocking for so long and after many trial and errors I let Him in and let His Word speak to me and burdens were lifted from my shoulder."

Definitelly feel the same!!!!

Thank you very much!!!! :D

HI Tammy,
Keep looking to Jesus in all things in scripture , prayer & fellowship and he will do all things required for your good, may you be greatly encouraged in your life.
I am just back on this site a few weeks as time catches up with you in life but its really good and friendly. I've been christian for nearly 30 years, been widowed after less than year of marriage and married again for 22 years, also have had stammer all my life and this week am being made redundant b ut looking upwards all the way, looking for part time job so can take things easy & hoping to be involved in voluntary work in future.
God has been so good to me in all experiences of life, so keep looking to the prince of peace.
God bless you,
Gordon

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10). Many people, myself included, needed that fear in order for our hard hearts to be penetrated. However, many times a translation uses the word "fear" it really means reverence. Sometimes it does indeed mean straight out fear, but most times it means to revere Him with awe.

Additionally, 1 John teaches us that as we grow and mature in the LORD, His perfect love will cast out the fear that we initially had of Him (1 John 4:18). As you get closer to God in your walk, you will trust Him more and more like a real father. His love will permeate your being and you will no longer have that fear you began with.

I'm a former punk-rocking child of wrath. I now only write music for the Lord. There is a musicians forum here you may want to check out.

Also, feel free to go to the Bible Study forum to ask any questions you have.

Thnx gordon and...byGraceAlone haha!

Yes, I've heard that we shouldn't be afraid of God cause he is love...there's many confusing things, but the main things are clear to me now.

I've checked the musicians forum, who knows, i might meet some musicians to start a band with here hehe!!!!

Cheers guys!!!!!!!!!!!
