Question about Prayer?

In my experiences of prayer, sometimes I feel a much stronger anointing of the Holy Spirit, during and after the communication. Firstly, I want to just ask if this is common thing among a lot of Christians? And secondly, does this always indicate that something is not quite right in our walk, or that God just chooses certain times to surround us with more of his presence. Perhaps sometimes I am making prayer a ritualistic thing rather than going to God spontaneously in praise, worship, supplication - when my spirit is telling me to.

on his terms, not ours

Recall what happened to Moses after his visit with the Lord. Moses came down from that mountain with a face that was shining so that it frightened the people, so he decided to put on a face veil (which may not have been the best solution).

And Moses' face did not continue to shine indefinitely.

And secondly, does this always indicate that something is not quite right in our walk, or that God just chooses certain times to surround us with more of his presence.
That decision is always ours, as the Lord never leaves us. Just as Moses decided to veil his face, we also decide our own "degree of involvement" with the Lord (usually to our detriment). What causes the separation? The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. (1 John 2:16).

Perhaps sometimes I am making prayer a ritualistic thing rather than going to God spontaneously in praise, worship, supplication - when my spirit is telling me to.
Indeed. Once one substitutes with ritual (a step down from the real thing), the slope only gets more slippery.

Prayers

Spirit filled Believers normally carry a certain level of anointing on them. The anointing is for our flesh and physical things.

I can do all things though The anointing that strengthens me.

Paul said

Php 3:8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

Paul's pursuits were to go after Higher and Higher levels of that anointing of God. We grow from faith to faith, obedience, and keeping that love command, keeping all that doubt and unbelief out of our mouth, keeping focused on what God said, being faithful qualify us for greater levels of anointing in our lives.

Joh 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Joh 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

Keeping his words, holding on to what he said is key to his manifestation in our lives.

Deu 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
Deu 30:20 That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days:

When we speak things contrary to what he said, we choose curse, and death. This grieves the Holy Spirit and that anointing diminishes in our life.

Satan (Antichrist-Anti Anointing) has gone to great lengths to get the human race to constantly speak death. Satan knows the Word, and has no legal authority to do anything to us but what we give him permission to. He is just a disobediant angel, and has no standing. All he has, he has stolen from man.

I laughed so hard I almost died laughing.
Don't sneak up on me, you scared me to death.
Wow, that is amazing, it's just blows my mind.
The memory is the first thing to go as we get older.
Every year about this time, that pollen in the air just causes my nose to run and eyes to water. I can hardly breath at times.
I am so broke I can't even pay attention. (ha ha ha)
My back is just killing me.

To speak and choose something else besides what God said is not choosing the blessings, it's not choosing life. It's not keeping the Words of Jesus, and keeps his manifestation from us.

There is only one way to choose death, and not life, only one way to choose cursing and not the blessings.

AMP:
Pro 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].(3)

Psa 34:12 What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?
Psa 34:13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

God said Choose, God is not the one deciding our life, or death. God is not Choosing our blessing or cursing. He put that power in our own mouth, what we speak.

When we keep that love commandment, keep his words, the Lords manifestation in our lives becomes greater.

We are to stir up the gift in us.
2Ti 1:6

We can stay filled with the Spirit of God.....

Eph 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
Eph 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

Praying in the Holy Spirit, Praying in tongues can build up the faith in us. It brings the presence of the Holy Spirit on us.

Jud 1:20
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

Jesus Is Lord.

Reading the above really convicted my conscience because, indeed, I am guilty of routinely being cynical and negative about nearly everything. I must not have been taking that part of God's word, as seriously as I ought to have been. It confuses me when new-agers adopt similar ideologies because than I begin to take the truthful things from the Bible, less seriously. Another example is the concept of ''karma'' or taken from the bible as ''you reap what you sow''. They take elements of the truth and mix it with falsehood. Anyway, I'm starting to get off-topic.

I wanted to let you know that it was moses who when he came down from the mountain put a veil on his face so the people would not be afraid. It can be found in exodus 34:29-35.

Now moses when he went before God to talk to Him moses took off the veil and there was no seperation between them. Here is the relationship we all strive for...getting so close to God that there is nothing between us and through Him nothing can seperate us from... We are His and He is ours. I find in my prayer time that I ask the Holy Spirit to help me pray that the words said would be ones from my heart and from the Holy Spirit Himself. This way when I pray it comes from not of myself but from the One who resides in me and whom Jesus has sent to be part of me till that day we see Him face to face.

God bless

False concepts, and understanding.

You are grasping what is going on. Jesus said, I only Speak what I hear from my Father. No wonder there was so much power in his life.

Karma, Christian science, New age, Satan knows spiritual laws, he knows death and life are in the power of what we say, he knows Jesus said you have what you say if you believe it. Now all he has to do is twist these concepts, and use the power of spiritual Law God has placed against us.

Even a sales force team will have a prep rally before a sales day, speaking positive things. What they miss with the rest of Christian science, and new age belief's is that they think there must be some power in ourselves, some mental, meta physical and magical ability we have to bring things to pass.

No, the Lord went with them, confirming with WORD with sings following. The Word!!!

Our part is to renew our thinking, get our tongue in subjection to what God said, and speak the Word only. Faith is the ability to agree with God, despite what is going on around us. We have no magical powers in ourselves as the other new age thinking suggest, that is of the devil.

What we have in the Word, is far greater than any of it. When we agree with the Word, choose life, we agree with something God already agreed with, and something that will never fail, or return void in our life.

This is why Jesus said, every Idle Word mans speak, they shall have to give an account in the day of judgement. Idle words come from the heart, laying dormant and just come out of our mouth. We have to fill our heart with something different if we ever want to control our tongues.

It's those idle words that steer our life like a ship, those words can crash us into rocks, and destroy everything God had planed for us. This is why we have to give an account of what we have spoken.

AMP:
Jas 3:4 Likewise, look at the ships: though they are so great and are driven by rough winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the impulse of the helmsman determines.
Jas 3:5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and it can boast of great things. See how much wood or how great a forest a tiny spark can set ablaze!

Just as a ship is set on a certain course, we are the product of what we have been speaking up to this point. It's the tongues the chooses the blessings or cursing. It's the tongue that has the power of life and death.

Jesus Is Lord.

word games

It confuses me when new-agers adopt similar ideologies because than I begin to take the truthful things from the Bible, less seriously....They take elements of the truth and mix it with falsehood.
Indeed. It is a word game, a game of terminologies. As the enemy seeks more and more to be more and more "like God," the born again believer must define our words.

I wanted to let you know that it was moses who when he came down from the mountain put a veil on his face so the people would not be afraid.
Oops! My bad! I don't have a 'puter so I am rushing on the clock at the internet cafe. Thanks, AbbysAunt, for that correction.
