So....how many believe this and practice it?

Is a mortgage debt? How about your car? Is that a debt? What do you think?

What’s the big deal over borrowing money when all the world seems to be in debt? The problem is just that—debt is part of the world’s system of finance. It’s a system devised by the devil to keep us in bondage to the world (see Deuteronomy 28:15, 43-44; Proverbs 22:7). Jesus, however, has redeemed us from the curse of the law, and we are free to walk in all the blessing of Abraham (Galatians 3:13-14).

Yes I think that a car loan or house mortgage is debt,I also believe that so is rent, untilities, credit cards, medical bills or anything thing else borrowed.

Well..There is a difference between running expenses and debt. With running expenses like utilities, you run out of service just about as fast as you stop paying, but with debt you owe a long living servitude to the lender. You work for him and not for yourself. Your money goes to fatten his wallet not yours.

I understand what you saying but IMO if you owe someone for something then it qualifies as debt.

Yup yup I understand what you're saying too. grin So the loaf of bread and the block of cheese that you need to buy constitute a debt. Right?

That would mean that you're out of GOD's will by using public utilities to heat your house. Or to rent a house to shelter your family. Right?

No not unless you are buying your groceries on credit. As far as public utilities and renting a house goes I guess you could pay it in advance and have a credit where actually they would owe you.

I myself do have a small mortgage to pay each month, pay for electricity and phone in the rear, and paying for medical bills, while on short term disability so I am in debt to others. Man is to provide for his family so it seems a bit tricky eh?

Yet if GOD says it then it can be done. I guess we have to learn that HE is our source and not ourselves hey? I have a very difficult time with that myself. I've been brought up that a man has to work to provide for his family when in truth he should be looking to Father for his needs. The WORD says we should work so we have seed to sow. Ephesians 4:28

That's a real switch. I retired at 58 and now at 63 I'm still looking around for a job to make more money instead of enjoying life in HIM
