I suggest that anyone who has any unforgiveness in their heart that you read The Parable of the Unmerciful Servant (Matthew 18:21-35).

My Pastor tells this story a lot and I had been going through anything I think off and asking anyone that I need to for forgiveness in the past couple of months.

This is true wisdom employed. Unforgiveness is a roadblock between God the Father and the believer. If a man truly repents of his sin toward others and truly forgives others of their sin, they have done works necessary to purify their hearts and open the door to seeing God here on earth as he is working all around them. I began my journey with God in Alcoholics Anonymous. There we were guided through a process of cleaning up the wreckage of our past, preparing the soil for a new life. The result for me was God revealing himself unto me through his sovereign hand working miracles of restoration in my life.

I pray that you experience the fullness of God as you continue to repair broken relationships in your life. People who do this become the 'Lots' of this world that hold back the judgment of God until the day he takes them out and suffers vengeance upon the rest of the ungodly.

In Christ,

Gary

What do you mean by Lots?

'Lots' as in people who are just like 'Lot' in the book of Genesis. God refused to destroy Sodom until Lot was taken out by the angels. The same is going on today. One day God will remove all of the 'Lots' in the world and then judge the world by fire.

Sounds like legalism bro. I think desire to forgive everyone is more important than "book keeping".

The heart God has given me is one of repentance and forgiveness and I am always ready to give both, and in many cases I have forgiven regardless of the action (or inaction) of the other person, according to what God puts on my heart to do.

But I don't think I need to wrack my brain to try remember everyone that I might need to forgive or say "sorry" to. I can't remember all those circumstances! And I don't need to, as it is the the state of my heart that counts, not any specific action.

You bring up a good point and one that I experienced as I went down my road. I didn't have to remember any of them. God seemingly brought everyone cross my path that I needed to get right with. He is awesome like that. The state of your heart at the moment God brings those people you need to work things out with will do everything at the moment your lives intersect again.

Exactly. If we, in submission and trust to God, give everything to Him He will take care of any details that need to be taken care of. He leads, we follow.
