I get into terrible fights with my husband sometimes, who is a Christian and I say I hate you because he was so mean to me. I dont mean it though, words just hurt alot sometimes. Is my husband my brother? Does God know we love Him by searching our heart no matter what we say in anger? How can I ever be perfect? I always love God, He is the only strength I have.

Not true. Words will create....Or kill. For a Christian there is no such thing as a word without power.

Yes If your hugsband is a Christian he is your brother in the anointing.

Julie, I know that passion has a flip side. I have been married for 34 years. Patience from the Lord will reign in your heart as you yield to Him (Jesus).

The hurt is there, you react to it. This is passion. See it as such and give it to God. His peace passes knowledge (understanding}.

Yes the hubby is your brother, pray with him in good times that you both can love through Christ. It is all too easy in a marriage to love from the human aspect, but the Spirit is Agape, Unconditional love.

I would attempt to seek that level, see hubby through Jesus and I believe it will help.:wink:

I think most people struggle with this kind of stuff because they believe that they can get away with it. Would you really fight with your husband if you thought that doing so would prohibit you from entering into the kingdom of God?

Galatians 5

Romans 8
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

If the spirit of God be in you, then you will produce love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, meekness, faith, gentleness and kindness. Romans 3 tells us that those who seem contentious and obey not the truth are going to receive indignation and wrath on the day of judgement. But nobody preaches this part of the word of God anymore, they all just preach that Jesus loves us and understands our faults blah, blah, blah.

Basically it's saying the when we are following in JESUS footsteps, fellowshipping with the FATHER there is no sin in us. If we say we have fellowship with the FATHER and are walking in sin, we lie.
Again If we do sin and fall out of fellowship with FATHER we have JESUS who washes us clean again. If we are our of fellowship with FATHER and say we have no sin we are calling FATHER a liar

And the path is narrow, alright. To the left is wanton sin that treads upon the blood of Jesus. To the right is self-righteous works. Both of those paths lead to destruction. In the middle, we follow Jesus and He picks us up when we stumble, He cleanses us of our sins. He shows us the way.

fail over and over again.

As your relationship grows with Jesus the Holy Spirit will enable you
more and more to let go of self and pursue love in a deeper way.

They are the same as righteous or unrighteous, good or evil, sinner or saint, godly or ungodly and the list goes on. Simply put the gospel states you must have repentance toward God (turn from your sin unto God) and believe on Jesus whose blood cleanses you from all unrighteousness.

There are those, whom to their own destruction, twist this text to say that if you claim to walk as Jesus walked, dead to self and without sin, you are a liar and the truth isn't in you. They fail to realize that in this same letter John states that the only reason one has boldness in the day of judgment is because that is what they do. It is as Peter said in his letter, you can escape the corruption that is in the world through lust through the knowledge of Jesus Christ. And John speaks to that lust as lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of life.

So when is the last time you sinned?

There were times in my walk when I was lead to believe that my works didn't matter as you do but God had mercy on me and showed me the truth. He wouldn't allow me to deny scripture that said that Jesus only gives eternal life to them that obey him, which is doing his works instead of the ones you were previously doing. Or that being his disciple begins with ending the sin in your life by taking up your cross and bearing the shame of others sin against you so that you might save them, without which you cannot be his disciple. So many peoples lives are being destroyed by believing that it doesn't matter if they sin. Even Paul said that because there was going to be a resurrection of the Just and the Unjust, he made sure to have a good conscience toward God and toward man.

But we live in the age spoken of by Paul to Timothy, men are lovers of their own selves and lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God. Having a form of godliness, which is a respect for the word of God, but denying the power thereof, which is the power of the word of God to remove the evil from man that he may walk in righteousness day in and day out without falling into sin. Peter wrote the recipe of what to add to faith to achieve this point, yet men say it cannot be done because they sit in their own filth everyday or misunderstand what sin actually is and are convinced that they are sinning when they are not.

We are in the very end of this age and it isn't popular to be without sin in your life. Its like masturbation, everyone who does it is sure that everyone else is doing it and if you say you don't your just a lair. It is all very, very wrong and distorted view of reality. You can be just like Jesus. You can walk as he walked. You don't have to sin. Even Cain was told by God that he had the ability not to sin, that he could rule over sin. Man has always had this power. Jesus was the only one who could be 'born' without sin and live that way his whole life. God made it that way because Jesus was to be the ruler over all.

Salvation by works

Where is the love? Where is the mercy, Gary? More and more you come across as a gnostic who feels it's incumbant upon you to save yourself. Consider the parable of the talents.

Where is the love?

The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost. Not by accepting sinful man but rather confronting them with their sin and calling them to repentance while we dine with them. Do you somehow perceive that it is loving to leave people in their sin unapproached? The bible says "those that sin rebuke before all that all may be afraid".

Where is the mercy?

Mercy is what happens when someone sins against you and you are in a position to hang them out to dry but instead you bless them. It is a tool that is used to draw people unto Christ and the mercy that he showed unto the ungodly ones he invited to follow him by wearing his righteousness.

I know nothing of Gnosticism. I only know what I read in the scriptures. Your name says ByGraceAlone. Unfortunately the bible says that it is by grace through faith. It is the faith part that people get mixed up on. One can only be without sin by faith, the faith of Jesus Christ, which is emptying yourself of self and serving God and others. I am what I am by the grace of God but it is the effectual working of his grace in me. He shed his grace on me and I have perpetually given grace unto others. He was merciful unto me and I have taken that mercy to others.

Telling someone a lie and saying that they can continue in sin and end up saved is not loving nor is it merciful it is poison to their soul that the deceitful heart takes and runs with. I really wish you understood as did Jesus when he was speaking to his disciples. He asked "Why can't you understand my speech?". It breaks my heart to know that I cannot help people understand the truth of their demise. Jesus wept over Jerusalem, a city that treated him like he was some kind of holier than thou person. I can't save myself, I can only condemn myself as an unbeliever through my works if I fail to heed the words of God almighty. He has made himself clear about evil unrepentant sinners. He will destroy them. Did you not hear Peter? If the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and sinner appear?

Damnation and condemnation are from works and everyone of us must appear before the judgment seat of Christ to receive for what we have done in the body, whether good or bad. Those who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory, honor and immortality, eternal life. Those who seem contentious and obey not the truth, indignation and wrath. Your works decide which. Shall you be condemned or will you be one who by the spirit mortifies the deeds of the flesh?

Unmerited favor is merely MERCY Grace is so much more!! Mercy is included in Grace but it is not grace.

We are not saved by mercy. But by the empowering PRESENCE of GOD in our lives. We ask HIM in and HE comes in and saves. Just like that.
Its not complicated.

"Faith is the substance of things unseen the evidence of things hoped for" Well you got this part right anyway.... And works have little to do with anything. We are not saved by works but by faith. We are not condemned by works but by unbelief. But!!!! We are saved. Period. Nothing can change that now!
