Wayne Grudem ‘’Christian Beliefs. 20 Basics Every Christian Should Know’’

On Perseverance. Page110-112.

(Assurance of Perseverance)
‘’If you have confidence in Christ’s work on your behalf, confidence in Christ’s ability to take the penalty for your sins & take you, without blame, to heaven, confident that Christ should let you into heaven based only on his work & not on yours, & if that confidence is currently present in your life, then that confidence should act as an assurance of your true faith, based only on behalf.’’-----

‘’Perseverance through the process.
Sanctification is a lifelong process. If you are a believer in Jesus, at times it will seem as if the process is going at a faster rate than you ever thought possible. It’s at these time you need to guard against pride & self- righteousness – thinking yourself better that you are& taking credit for your that is really a gift of grace. At other times you will wonder if there is any life inside of you at all. It’s at these times that you may wonder if you are ever truly a Christian. When the doubts begin to fill your thoughts prayer the prayer found in Mark 9:24: ‘I believe; help me in my unbelief!.
And in the midst of it all, hold sure to the promise that ‘by God’s power’ you’ are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time’ (1 Peter 1:5) And take confidence in Jesus’ statement that ‘this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son & believe in him should have eternal life & I will raise him up on the last day’ (John 6:40) ‘’

When did Jesus know what was in store for Him later.?
Did His perseverance really kick in.?
was it in the garden of Gethsemane?
or much earlier.?
Are there other examples of the perseverance of Jesus that can be examples to us.?

Another said===
''Then there were his disciples. They never seemed to really get it. He is teaching people and loving them, and the disciples are trying to keep people away, children and others they considered outsiders. Jesus was trying to get them to understand about his coming death and suffering, and they weren't listening, because they were so busy arguing about who was the greatest.''

Doesn't that hurt folks. We're still in those early states of reality, yes??

Later she said ''Jesus had all kinds of difficulties with people who tried their best to make His life miserable. There were the legalistic religious leaders who plagued his every step.''

But He continued to go to where His father was.

Are we ready to die to ourselves or even physically so we might continue on to meet Him face to face, if we aren't we wont meet Him face to face, we'll be grovelling.

The last day is our last day on earth in these flesh bodies!
The true church has no flaws!
He sees our spirit as a virgin

2Co_11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

Our spirit is in Christ Jesus! There is No sin or sinner in Christ Jesus!

We do dwell in sin filled bodies a short time!

they are imperfect ,they will never be perfected

><> ><> Isn't God's Church like a Jigsaw puzzle.?

Many pieces, some go together, some are needed here or there, so many different bits & pieces but all are needed.

Maybe the common denominator is He knows the end from the begining so knows the final picture & where each bit fits.

BUT Do we know where each bit goes.? Where do we; our local place, of the whole fit with the others.?

What could or should we learn from others.?? :shade:

Yes Our Father God wants us to know it all! He does not want us living lies! it the devil who tries to keep the truth from us!

1Jn_2:20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.

It takes time to grow in truth !
Listen i was born again in 1972! Still i am learning! I doubt as long as we are in these flesh bodies we ever stop learning!

Not long ago ? God revealed to me, the temple of GOD was our spirit! All these years i thought the temple was our flesh body!

Now it makes sense, He cannot dwell in sin filled flesh!

Rom_7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing

Rom_8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

1Co_15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

Eph_2:22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

1Co_15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

2Co_13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen

1Co_2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

We need to ASK the Holy Ghost lots! He should be our Teacher ,just as He was Our LORDS Teacher !

Are those of His Church who know they
''Don't have it all sown up''
united; of one mind but still not aware of the 'possible ' value of the ''others''?? One wonders.!!
