How can today's translations of the Bible be trusted?

Farout.

Have to agree on your choice of Bible, NASB. I have tried other translations and transliterations, they just are not accurate enough.

NASB, Thanks for your reply

I knew Seminary Professors who helped on the NASB and the NIV. The more serious word studies I do, especially when I compare the Greek and Hebrew words to the NASB, I have yet to find any disagreement. I seldom take the NIV except for alternate, sometime clearer understandings. Sometimes the NASB gets a little tongue tied, and a bit wordy.

We are so blessed to have so many Bible translations to choose from. There is just no excuse for anyone to be ignorant of the Scriptures.

Really,hmmm

(KJV)Mark 4:15
......Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

The antichrist will use the new versions to set up his one world new age religion, with It's mark & worship of the antichrist & the dragon.

Let's compare;
Nasb/Niv KJB

the Lord------------------ Ex 6:3------------------ Jehovah
Christ------------------ 2 cor 5:18-------------------- Jesus Christ
the spirit------------------- Acts 8:18----------------------- the Holy Ghost
divine being------------------- Acts 17:29--------------------- The Godhead

Here we go

Omitted--------------------- Rev 1:11-------------------- I am Alpha and Omega

Ok let's look at it from this point of view. Salvation by works or faith in

Nasb/Niv;Children,how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God

KJB; children, how hard it is for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God

Obey-----------------------John 3:36---------------------- believeth
Faithfulness Gal 5:22 faith
the gospel------------- ROM 1:16 the gospel of Christ
How we can go on on, we can make a seminar out of it.

I wonder why people that speak, read & write in the English language convince themselves that they need to know Greek & Hebrew. When God has gave them his perfect word for English speaking people.

Nasb,Niv etc from perverted manuscripts out of Egypt.

(KJB) Psalm 12:6-7
The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. [7] Thou shalt keep them, O Lord , thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

Which KJB would that be???

Dear Yort.

You quoted,

the Lord------------------ Ex 6:3------------------ Jehovah.

I prefer "the Lord" myself. Jehovah is not the direct translation, you should know better than that my friend.

Context is a must to rightly divide

(KJB)Exodus 6:3
And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name Jehovah was I not known to them.

The special significance of Jehovah, unknown to them, but to be known by their descendants, must arise from what God would reveal of Himself in keeping the covenant & in redeeming Israel.

We can not just pick and choose what we "Prefer", remember it is His words, not ours. Absolute truth in Gods word is a privilege not something to be looked at like I prefer the blue shirt rather than the white one you gave me.

Otay in order to answer two post with one post;

The authorized KJB 1611.

Other versions are used by satan??????

Dear brother: The KJV is a good version, I have no problem with anyone who loves and think it is best. I do not want to debate you, but only to let you know what I have experienced. The reason there is places that would appear to be left out of the NASB is in the earliest manuscripts the words just are not there. The KJV used the best manuscripts that were aviailable then. In 400 years God has blessed us with older more reliable manuscripts.

I have aprinted photocopy of the 1611 KJV. The KJV of 1611 has been revised many times. The oldest manuscripts have fine tuned the Word of YAHWEH.

Brother, we need to be very, very careful in calling the NASB a Bible that satan has used. To say such a thing is swaring at the WORD of the LORD. I would never say that causes someone who is built their spiritual faith foundation upon the WORD of the LORD from the KJV. To do such a thing could spiritually harm someone. The same is true when someone blasphemes the WORD of the LORD in the NASB.

By far the translation of the NASB uses all the manuscripts used in the KJV and the oldest manuscripts found today. These manuscripts are not just one or two that appear to be the oldest, there are many copies of the older manuscripts.

In my many years as a Christian I have known a goodly number of brothers, and sisters who were King James Bible only beleivers. Very seldom were they open to even consider looking at the proof I was willing to provide. On occasions I have seen KJV only Christians become bitter and hostile. I sincerely doubt much of what I have said will be of any value. But I did feel it was necessary to make know to anyone reading these notes that the NASB is NOT a tool of the evil one. I hope you reconsider making such statements that only hurts others faith.

The 2 in 1 Post.

Yes I believe that the KJB is the true inspired word of God. Absolute truth. I believe the edition is 1769 or perhaps 1669. Long day.

The word Yahweh is nothing more than a liberal act of Satan to change his name. It's only found in corrupted text.:rtm:

As for being careful about anothers faith, well if we see that ones faith is in that which is the act or part of false doctrine and or teaching, then by no means will I :reject the opportunity to share the truth with someone. It's our duty.

But I've found something in your post I do agree with; no matter how much truth or evidence that you provide to people there will always be the but, but this, but that people will even manipulate but-whata but this, lol i kid. They did it with my savior to His death at calvery I have no doubt I will encounter the same. All in all it comes down to the Holy Ghost placing the understanding of ones convictions on their heart, that is the life changing affect not circle debates.:shade:

Rightly divide and prayer tremendous formula.:groupwave:

Jesus loves you.:singing:

Actually Troy, while it is true that Yahweh is a corrupted spelling of YHVH (Yod, Hey, Vov, Hey) or Yahveh with vowels added, it is no where near as errant as the transliteration Jehovah.

Yes sir.

Yes Jiggyfly, your line,

"Actually Troy, while it is true that Yahweh is a corrupted spelling of YHVH (Yod, Hey, Vov, Hey) or Yahveh with vowels added, it is no where near as errant as the transliteration Jehovah."

This is the truth but people will not accept this. No one knows how to pronounce YHVH, that's why I like "the Lord". Talk about straining out knats and swallowing camels.

Jesus was the one speaking throughout the Old Testament anyway.
