Is Hell a lie from the devil used to try to stain God's Character?

I've been on the web researching and reading and like many articles i stumbled across this one (lately i've been stumbling across alot of interesting articles). When i read the title "Hell is a lie from the devil used to try to stain God's Character" it drew me in but before i read it i prayed and asked The Holy Spirit to help me discern whether this article is a lie from satan or if this is the Truth. This article states that Hell is a lie from the devil, that's all i will say about it i'm gonna let all of you read it and decide for yourselves but before you do read pray. I'm currently studying the word of God to see if this has any validity. Here it is:

The thought that a person will have to suffer in a burning fire forever if they do not get saved is one of the most absurd, rediculous, lies that the devil has deceived man into believing. The devil has used that lie to try and put a stain in God's character. What person would even want his enemy to be put in a fire and burned forever? And do we have the audacity to think that God is less merciful to His creatures than we would be to our fellowman? A few years ago there was a lie going around that they had drilled a hole so far down into the earth that they could hear people screaming: And they believed that they had drilled all the way down to Hell. Poor pitiful human beings! How stupid is the devil going to make them before he is through? Is there a problem with believing the Truth? Why can not people just believe the Truth? Let us look at God's word: God tells the Truth. Where does man commit his sins? On earth. So, where is man going to reap the wages for his sins? On earth.

Proverbs 11:31 "If the righteous receive their due on earth,
how much more the ungodly and the sinner!"

Isaiah 24:21 "It shall come to pass in that day
That the LORD will punish on high the host of exalted ones,
And on the earth the kings of the earth.

Revelation 20:9 "They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them.

If all the lost burn forever in the same fire then the person who stole a candy bar would get just as much punishment as the person who killed ten people. But, it will not be that way, because that would be part of the devil's lie. The Bible, the Truth, says that they will be judged according to their works as has been recorded in the Books.

Revelation 20:12 "
And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books."

There will be degrees of punishment. You reap what you sow. You do not sow one grain of corn and get as much as you would if you sow one hundred grains of corn.

Luke 24:47-48 "
47 And that servant who knew his master’s will, and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
</sup>

48 But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.

The saved will see the destruction of the wicked. If they are never destroyed, how can there be a destruction?

Psalms 37:34-38 "
</sup>
<sup class="versenum" id="en-NKJV-14485">
</sup>

34 Wait on the LORD, And keep His way, And He shall exalt you to inherit the land; When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.

<sup class="versenum" id="en-NKJV-14486">
</sup>

35 I have seen the wicked in great power,
And spreading himself like a native green tree.

<sup class="versenum" id="en-NKJV-14487">36</sup> Yet he passed away,<sup> </sup>and behold, he was no more;
Indeed I sought him, but he could not be found.

<sup class="versenum" id="en-NKJV-14488">37</sup> Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright;
For the future of that man is peace.
<sup class="versenum" id="en-NKJV-14489">38</sup> But the transgressors shall be destroyed together;
The future of the wicked shall be cut off."

The wages of sin is death, not life in torture. The person who sins will die, not live. If the sinners are going to live in a burning lake of fire forever then they will have eternal life like the saved, just in a different place.

Romans 6:23 "
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
"

Ezekiel 18:4 "Behold, all souls are Mine; The soul of the father
As well as the soul of the son is Mine; The soul who sins shall die."

That is the second death. Everybody dies the first death. There will be no resurrection from the second death: It will be total extinction.

Revelation 20:14 "Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death."

Eternal life is only in Christ. The lost do not have Christ, therefore they cannot have eternal life. If they do not have eternal life, then they have death.

1 John 5:11-12 " 11 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life."

The source of life is God, if you disconnect, or separate yourself from the source you will die.

John 3:36 "He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."

No sinner, whether a murderer, Sabbath breaker, adulterer, hath eternal life abiding in him.

1 John 3:15 "Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him."

If there is someone burning now who is supposed to be dead, then they are not dead, they are still alive. How can they die a second death without dying a first death? There is no person burning anywhere now. Even Satan and his angels will not be punished until after the great judgment day. The judicial judgement does not take place until during the seventh thousand years.

Jude 1:6 "And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day"

The word reserved means to keep, and the word everlasting means secure. They are kept secure under darkness until the judgement. Satan and all his evil angels are not being tormented now: The judgement for all their evil has not taken place yet: They are still doing evil. The era of evil is not over. The Truth Followers, the saints will participate in their trial.

1 Corinthians. 6:3 "Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life?"

The judgement and punishment of Satan and his followers are saved until a future time.

2 Peter 2:9 "then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment,"

Satan is alive on planet earth, just like Hal Lindsay said.

Job 1:7 "And the LORD said to Satan, “From where do you come?”
So Satan answered the LORD and said, “From going to and from the earth, and from walking back and forth on it."

Revelation 12:7-9,12 "
7 And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought,

8 but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them[a] in heaven any longer.

9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

12 Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time."

The lost people are represented, in the Bible, as perishable substance. In the final destruction they are likened to tow, or flax which is very easily consumed.

Isaiah 1:28,30,31 "
28 The destruction of transgressors and of sinners shall be together, And those who forsake the LORD shall be consumed"

30 For you shall be as a terebinth whose leaf fades, And as a garden that has no water.

31 The strong shall be as tinder, And the work of it as a spark;Both will burn together, And no one shall quench them.

The lost are likened to fat. What burns as readily as fat? Have you ever had a grease fire in the kitchen? It cannot be extinguished by water. It continues burning until it is consumed.

Psalms 37:20 "But the wicked shall perish;And the enemies of the LORD, Like the splendor of the meadows, shall vanish. Into smoke they shall vanish away."

The lost people are compared to stubble. Stubble is something that burns to ashes with nothing left. Stubble is a very dry and perishable substance.

Malachi 4:1,3 "
1 “For behold, the day is coming, Burning like an oven, And all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up,” Says the LORD of hosts, “ That will leave them neither root nor branch."

Nah 1:8-10 "
8 But with an overflowing flood He will make an utter end of its place, And darkness will pursue His enemies.

9 What do you conspire against the LORD? He will make an utter end of it. Affliction will not rise up a second time.

10 For while tangled like thorns, And while drunken like drunkards, They shall be devoured like stubble fully dried.

The fire that destroys the wicked will go out. There shall not be a coal to warm at.

Isaiah 47:14 "Behold, they shall be as stubble, The fire shall burn them;They shall not deliver themselves From the power of the flame;It shall not be a coal to be warmed by, Nor a fire to sit before! "

The lost are compared to tares that are gathered in bundles and burned.

Mathew. 13:30 "Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn."

The lost people shall be as though they never existed. They shall be cut off and shall not be, ever, anymore.

Psalms 37:9,10,28,34-38

9 For evildoers shall be cut off;
But those who wait on the LORD,
They shall inherit the earth.

10 For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more;
Indeed, you will look carefully for his place,
But it shall be no more.

28 For the LORD loves justice,
And does not forsake His saints;
They are preserved forever,
But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off.

34 Wait on the LORD,
And keep His way,
And He shall exalt you to inherit the land;
When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.

35 I have seen the wicked in great power,
And spreading himself like a native green tree.

36 Yet he passed away, and behold, he was no more;
Indeed I sought him, but he could not be found.

37 Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright;
For the future of that man is peace.

38 But the transgressors shall be destroyed together;
The future of the wicked shall be cut off.
If anyone wants the source from where i read this, pm me.

It is scripturaly sound,well presented and easy to read.The only thing I would change is the title.
I believe "hell" is a man made doctrine designed to make the sheep more easily corralled,controlled and slaughtered.It drives away more lost sheep than it brings.Because they are waiting for the shepard's voice and that's not it.

Matt. 13:19 When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the seed sown along the path.

This is about good seed in a bad place.
How much worse with a bad seed to begin with.

Is this the type of person that will come to the kingdom out of the fear of hell?

We were called to preach the "gospel" the good news.
Turn or burn is not of "love".
When thinking people see the flaws in the "hell" doctrine they will lose faith in the word and fall away.

Those brought into the kingdom by "falling in love" with the joy,peace and stability they see in "loving" believers will endure and persevere to fight for their new family.

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

This says God is not willing that any should perish and I pray for God's will to be done.Amen

No Hell??

There is a small cult like group of folks that would get us to believe there is no Hell.......

They also take many scriptures out of Context, and play around with the Greek and play with what they think are different names of Hell....

Don't buy into it!!!

There are some 48 verses that contain the word Hell..
8 or more verses that tell of the suffering.

Several verses that you mentioned above are taken out of context and twisted. Some pertain to nothing related, but that is what they want you to think. Most false teaching does this...

I'll give one example but keep this short as possible.

Malachi 4:1,3 "
1 “For behold, the day is coming, Burning like an oven, And all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up,” Says the LORD of hosts, “ That will leave them neither root nor branch."

This for example is NOT talking about hell..... but read the next verse as it's talking about the coming of Jesus who's truth, shall shine light on the traditions of men, and take the seed of Abraham and included us in that seed. Leaving no more roots or genealogy for them to cling onto.

Mal 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

People of false Doctrine grab scriptures the best they can to make a obscure and false point..

There are several scriptures about hell we can not ignore...

Rev 14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Mar 9:43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
Mar 9:44 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

The Head of the Church would know.... Jesus

There comes a misunderstanding on a few scriptures however.... Both seem to contradict if we don't understand the context.

Mat 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

The word destroyed can be used to mean lost, Marred, lose.

apollumi= Destroyed.

Thayer:
1a) to put out of the way entirely, abolish, put an end to ruin
1b) render useless
1c) to kill
1d) to declare that one must be put to death
1e) metaphorically to devote or give over to eternal misery in hell
1f) to perish, to be lost, ruined, destroyed

Strongs:
to destroy fully (reflexively to perish, or lose), literally or figuratively: - destroy, die, lose, mar, perish.

So, the word Destroy Jesus used in the context would mean no more chance, lost, Life destroyed.

Body, Soul, Spirit:

1Th 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We spirit's that have a body, and soul.... We are spirits, and spirits can not be destroyed or killed. To loose your soul (mind, will and emotions) would be to lose all that you hoped or dreamed for, planned and your former life. You will be fully aware of the past once in Hell.

This pretty much sums it up...........

2Th 1:9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

to be separated from life which is in God, separated from his glory and power. forever............ That is spiritual death as some say, that is real death....

aiōnios= Everlasting

Strongs:
perpetual (also used of past time, or past and future as well): - eternal, for ever, everlasting, world (began).

Thayer:
1) without beginning and end, that which always has been and always will be
2) without beginning
3) without end, never to cease, everlasting

NASEC:
agelong, eternal: - eternal (66), eternity (1), forever (1).

Don't give this doctrine a second thought.......

Jesus Is Lord.

There is a small cult like group of folks that would get us to believe there is no Hell.
That is your opinion,I could easily have said " There is a large cult like group of folks that would get us to believe there is a Hell.

That would be my opinion.
The facts are "hell" is a translation for Sheol,Gehenna and tartarus.

Sheol:
was the abode of the dead,all dead not just the wicked.
Sheol is described in the old testament as nothing.

Job 7:9 "Just as a cloud dissipates and vanishes, those who go down to Sheol will not come back."
Psalms 6:4–5 "Turn, O LORD, deliver my life; save me for the sake of your steadfast love. For in death there is no remembrance of you; in Sheol who will give you praise?"

Gehenna:
was the city dump outside of Jerusalem, whose fire never went out and had a lot of worms.
Jesus used it figuratively of a wasted life.

Tartarus:
occurs in the Septuagint of Job 40:20, 41:21 but otherwise is only known in Hellenistic Jewish literature from the Greek text of 1 Enoch 20:2 where Uriel is the jailer of 200 angels that sinned.
In the New Testament the noun Tartarus does not occur but tartaroo (ταρταρόω, "throw to Tartarus") a shortened form of the classical Greek verb kata-tartaroo ("throw down to Tartarus") does appear in
2 Peter 2:4.

Again used figuratively because of 300 years of Hellenistic Jewish
culture had propagated the idea in the common people.It seemed to do more with Angels than anything.

Greek Mythology is quite descriptive of the regions of Hades.
Hell was and is Greek Mythology.

Sheol is NOT Hades or hell,a Jew wouldn't be caught dead in a pagan afterlife.

1) without beginning and end, that which always has been and always will be
2) without beginning
3) without end, never to cease, everlasting

How and when did they get to no beginning,how can something begin to be in no beginning.
If they will ever be there they would have to be there now wouldn't they? They would have never had opportunity to leave and come back.
They would have had to have always been there.

Brother........

Gehenna:
was the city dump outside of Jerusalem, whose fire never went out and had a lot of worms.
Jesus used it figuratively of a wasted life.

I seriously hope you are just arguing for the sake of it... Like on my other post.... That is cool.... but if you really believe this... not so cool..

Your trash heap... (Valley of the son of Hinnom, Alter of Topheth) was never mentioned one time in the NT.... The Easton bible dictionary tells us the dead bodies of criminals and animals kept the fire burning for days......

Though no real evidence of this, I do believe that Jesus refereed to that place as it must have been a well known and horrific place....

What did Jesus say??

Mar 9:45
And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
Mar 9:46 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

Unlike the trash pile Jesus May have been making reference to as he told the physical side of things and compared to how the spiritual side of things worked...

That is called a parable in case you where wondering....

He said the fire that never Shall be quenched...... NEVER means never... and I got news for you.... that pile of trash went out years ago....

Mat 5:22, Mat 5:29-30 Mat 10:28 Mat 18:9 Mat 23:15 Mat 23:33, Mar 9:43, Mar 9:45, Mar 9:47, Jam 3:5-6

These verses were not talking about some trash pile........long gone

and if you have a issue with Thayer's definition of Everlasting... take it up with them...

Jesus Is Lord.

How and when did they get to no beginning,how can something begin to be in no beginning.
If they will ever be there they would have to be there now wouldn't they? They would have never had opportunity to leave and come back.
They would have had to have always been there.

Hmmm, I hadn't noticed it until now. it's probably a typo on there part?

This article has definitely brought me confusion, so i've been in prayer and asking the lord to enlighten me on this matter. I will continue to pray but there seems to be more scriptures that point to what the author of that article was saying then of there being a hell.

apollumi= Destroyed.

Thayer:
1a) to put out of the way entirely, abolish, put an end to ruin
1b) render useless
1c) to kill
1d) to declare that one must be put to death
1e) metaphorically to devote or give over to eternal misery in hell
1f) to perish, to be lost, ruined, destroyed
1a)This is arguing for a quick end,final.
1b)Kind of like a wasted life eh?
1c)this does not show eternal punishment either
1d)another dead end ,so to speak
1e)the word metaphorically kind of taints the eternal aspect.
1F)Sounds pretty final

It is not easy to even find information on Gehenna but there is a lot of information on hell.Just read Greek mythology.
Gehenna is used many ways such as "fire of Gehenna"," Gehenna" and
"Gehenna of fire".Each is unique to context and to the audience being addressed.The Hellenist influence that had permeated Palestine and Judaism itself for more than 300 years before Jesus probably propagated some catch phrases that we don't know.

If I said that something was noisier than a room full of typewriters how many people would be able to relate?(yeah,I'm that old)

Remember Jesus rebuking them for their man made laws
He continually attacked their man made doctrines.
He turned over the money changers tables and money changers love books about fear.
There were 100's of new religions popping up by the time of Jesus and most had some mix of old Greek culture(mythology),new Greek philosophy and some sort of Monotheism.
The meaning of the three different forms of"Gehenna" is long lost although it was equated with a place of meeting justice because of previous events there and it's state at the time of Jesus as "My trash heap".

I just don't like adopting Mythology as doctrine.
It is NOT clear whether this punishment(I agree there will be one)
is eternal.It is not clear that it is not.
I am not preaching any new doctrine on something that is not clear.
I am not preaching any old doctrine on something that is not clear either.
Instead of saying hell or eternal why can't we just the doctrinally sound word "punishment".
Because it's not terrifying enough?

I seriously hope you are just arguing for the sake of it... Like on my other post.... That is cool.... but if you really believe this... not so cool..
That's funny,yes,yes,I'm lost and deceived,Ive heard it before.Hide your sacred cows,a killer sheep is on the loose.
But Ive never heard it put in such a humorous way before.
BTW,you followed me on the other post I just asked questions of your doctrine after that.

"These shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal" Matt. 25:46.There is a difference between the above Scripture and Hebrews 12:6:"Whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth." Punishment is for the sinner; chastisement for the saint.
</DIR></DIR>Eternal Everlasting. "These shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal"Matt. 25:46.See also Jude 6;II Thessalonians 1:9;Revelation 20:10;14:11.Some say that the words "everlasting" and "eternal" mean "a long life, an age, age lasting." In other words, they say that guilty sinners will endure the fires of hell only for an age; after being purified, they shall enjoy eternal bliss with the rest of the saints of God. But this we add, "If hell and punishment are not forever, then there is no such thing as eternal life, nor eternal salvation." The same word "eternal," or "everlasting," is used of God, "How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?" Heb. 9:14."The revelation of the mystery... now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith" Rom. 16:26.If the punishment in hell for the damned is not eternal, then salvation is not eternal, and God is not eternal! </DIR></DIR></DIR></DIR>

Thiscrosshurts:

I had no hand in writing the Thayer Greek...... no point in ripping it apart... The whole point in what Jesus said is..

"One who can destroy both Body and soul in Heal"

Destroy could be a argument against eternal punishment. However, as you pointed out, Destroyed does not mean an end as compared to what is taken from the person.... as in Thess

2Th 1:9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power

Everlasting destruction??

How can something be forever destroyed?

We are trying to use Greek words and understand them in a English way, and it just won't work here. It's being destroyed, it's eternal and forever, it's no more opportunity to be in the presence of the Lord, separated from his Glory and power forever...

This is the same meaning Jesus used when He talked about being destroyed in Hell......

Mar 9:46 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched

Without using any Greek.... Jesus make's it very clear.... this hell he is talking about never ends... It's best to just believe what He said and not question it.....

It is NOT clear whether this punishment(I agree there will be one)
is eternal.It is not clear that it is not.

Well that clears it ups..... if your not sure, then asking questions is fine, just be more constructive...... We all have different light God has given us, and nobody knows everything...

James g
Rom. 16:26.If the punishment in hell for the damned is not eternal, then salvation is not eternal, and God is not eternal!

We agree on something.... Awesome..

Jesus Is Lord.

How can something be forever destroyed?
Well once it's destroyed it's gone.
Everlasting destruction seems more like being destroyed over and over for eternity.I would have to call that cryptic.

Example:The stone that the builders rejected.The same has become the head of the corner.
How can there be a head corner?
Answer=the capstone of a pyramid is technically the head corner.
But if I don't know what a pyramid is the answer is lost and it must be left a mystery.

Without using any Greek.... Jesus make's it very clear.... this hell he is talking about never ends... It's best to just believe what He said and not question it
I would have to say we disagree on the definition of "very clear".
I'm not the one defending a doctrine
I'm the one questioning a popular doctrine.
I don't question Jesus' authority I am trying to understand him.

Well that clears it ups..... if your not sure, then asking questions is fine, just be more constructive...... We all have different light God has given us, and nobody knows everything.
That is what I'm doing but I'm not sure how to be more constructive while doing it.Keep in mind you keep following my posts with demeaning statements.My original posts were not directed at you.
You decided to chase me down and try to blunt,divert,distort and belittle my statements and you don't answer my questions you simply insinuate that I have some kind of agenda.
Do you consider calling my observations a cult constructive?
I'm just not feelin the love man.

No love??

Do you consider calling my observations a cult constructive?
I'm just not feelin the love man.

I really did not mean to make you feel that way....

I just take the Word very literal... and if Jesus said the fire is never quenched...then bless God I believe him.

Everlasting destruction seems more like being destroyed over and over for eternity.I would have to call that cryptic.

You can take this as just interesting...... or whatever..

by the Spirit some claim to have been taken to Hell.... Mary K Baxter is one of them..

Divine Revelation of Hell

She offers her experience for free, and after listening to her I found it hard not to say she was not being truthful, at least she seems to believe what she says...

Other separate accounts of others being taken there to be shown around match her's... which would be very hard to do..

In hell she said... she saw many where their bodies would form and just burn away again.... you would have to listen to the whole thing.

I have had visions, and operated in the Gifts of the Spirit, So I know this would not be impossible.... It's not scripture, so I would not teach her experience..

Jesus Is Lord.

I take Jesus words more seriously than that of any angel,patriarch,profit,apostle,vision,
experience,sensation or any other personal belief.

I believe I am being diligent in my search for his "way".
The word "fire" is used in so many ways.

There is the fire of God
God is fire(God is also love so can fire can mean love?)
trials are fire,there are fiery trials
burning coals of fire, unauthorized fire
Angels that looked like fire
flames of fire that did not consume a bush
fire come down from heaven
the LORD is coming with fire(and clouds and saints)
fire was in the cloud by night
words from out of the fire
There were tongues of fire
The tongue also is a fire and is set on fire
offerings made to the LORD by fire
Jacob will be a fire
He makes his servants flames of fire

There is even rich people fire:
James 5:3 Your gold and silver have corroded, and their corrosion will be evidence
against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have laid up treasure in the last days.

There are many more types of fires so I feel I need to know all these before I can even begin forming a doctrine
that is about fire mixed with other elements.

I am not familiar with Mary Baxter but I am familiar with
near death experiences,death and death cheating miracles.
Read the statistics on NDE's and see the % of bad experiences vs. Good or even awesome experiences.
I don't consider Mary Baxter's NDE to be any more or less valid than any other humans.
I will offer as exculpatory evidence that hospice workers report a higher % of negative experience in those who don't come back.
I am also familiar with the many church organizations that
have flaws in their doctrines but God seems to acknowledge
their validity through miracles and enormous prosperity.I belonged to some in the 90's and gained much knowledge but then found out knowledge just puffs up.

We have to be careful not to debate as that is not in the spirit of these forums.
Besides I would have backed you up 15 years ago
I don't know how I will see things in a few years so I don't see my beliefs as relevant,only my questions.
Because we are ever changing life forms.You know the beholding his face in a glass thing.

Proverbs 10:12 Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.
No strifes here brother
Peace

Hell is deep in the earth . a holding place for the spirits of people who have rejected GODS Free gift of life ! Death is really separation from GOD !

Mat 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
1Pe 3:19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
Rom 10:7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
Pe 4:6 For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit. Act 2:31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

Hell is only for a time!
The lake of fire is forever more!
Rev 20:10 And the Devil who deceived them was cast into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet were . And he will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death.

Rev 20:15 And if anyone was not found having been written in the Book of Life, he was cast into the Lake of Fire.

1Co 15:44 it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

Eternal punishment is no lie. It is very real !

Mt 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
