Since, "...it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:" Hebrews 9:27 , it is very reasonable to seek God's purpose involved in it. God says he made man in his image, having delegated to him rule over God's creation Gen. 1:26-27; and God gave man certain provisions and task related responsibilities in it, Gen. 1:28-30. There was only one prohibition laid upon man, and that prohibition was fortified by the promise of death as a consequence, Gen. 2: 15-17. Man's actions in Gen. 3:6 brought that consequence into the whole human race and even the creation itself. The first animal death was in Gen. 3: 21, where God made clothes for mankind out of animal skins, pointing to a provision for nakedness. (Hebrews 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.) Clothes, garments, are a covering; so is righteousness in the Bible: Isaiah 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels. Romans 5:12, Therefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: this shows us that man is in a state of sin from the fall and thus also death. The Bible states clearly that God is holy, righteous, and just and that he must judge, condemn, and avenge sin. (Rom.3:3-9: For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? 4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged. 5 But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man) 6 God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world? 7 For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner? 8 And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just. 9 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sinWhat is the purpose for it?
It takes place after the last resurrection at the end of this age described here in Revelations 20: 11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. When will it take place?
Good question. When you repented from your sin and sins you agreed with this just condemnation and you believed that the LORD bore it for you on the cross; not just the death, but the eternal wrath of God justly decreed against you: he bore in your place on your behalf. This is so much so, that the Bible uses language that relates the resurrection and ascension of Christ to be proof that your forgiveness is absolute: Romans 4:25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. So the answer is you are already tried, judged, condemned, sentenced and atoned for in full. Christ's death and being made a curse for us puts our names in the book of life. If a person could ruin this kind of salvation they certainly would, but the fact is: it was worked for us by one who can not fail, the good shepherd. If you have believed in Jesus, God gave you this faith by redemption rights already transacted on your behalf, and nothing can separate you from it. Rom.8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.If I believe in Jesus will I still be judged and can I lose my salvation on day of last Judgment?
Any sin requires from a just God condemnation and eternal vengeance, and wrath, as a retribution. Adam's sin required death spiritually and physically: separation from God, who is true life; this is the spiritual death (we are born dead this way, under the wrath of God). The physical death happens when our spirit and soul leave our bodies (this is that appointment we all have, first...). The second death, the like of fire, will never fill out its sentence; this is why it is eternal. Only an eternal substitute could pay this retribution in full; this is why Christ is the only savior. That's the negative requirement. What is requirement to pass last Judgment?
Well, let's see if this is so. After all James says, using the same passage in the OT that Paul uses, that Abraham was justified by his works: James 2:21 "Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?" Everyone must say yes to this question, but that does not mean that the work he performed was the source of his new nature, having a standing before God as forgiven and clothed in righteousness. It is a justification by works, however, that shows forth the fact; that his Faith which had brought him into this relation with God truly had divinely caused results. As to the cause of this relation in the first place Paul says in Romans 4: "1 What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? 2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. 3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness."I have a question about Matthew 25:31-36
It seems that this verse talks about last judgement. In that verse Jesus describes why people are chosen. Because they fed him, clothed him, visit him in prison, gave him drink. It looks like that we are justified by works but most of churches teach that we are justified by faith. What trouble me is that no where in this verse it says that I am justified by faith.[/B]

You have a scripture that states someone has to have evidence of speaking in tongues to be saved?Just believing in Jesus is not enough, you have to be baptized in water, receive the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking tongues.

Mar 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
In the book of Peter we are told getting baptized is a good conscience toward God, but does not take care of the sin, Jesus said if we believe and are baptized we shall be saved.
Jesus said them that don't believe shall be damned. He did not mention being not being baptized. (Which might not happen if you don't believe I guess)

We see signs that follow them that believe..... What if nobody has cast a devil out?? What if they never laid hands on the sick to have someone healed??Just believing in Jesus is not enough, you have to be baptised in water, receive the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking tongues.

Lioncub..........
You had some great scripture on the Holy Spirit, and speaking in tongues... You even put together the information well...
You proved what may be possible in a believers life....
but you dodged the question.....
