Are you living in the light or the darkness? If you love these words, you will love the author of them and not the flesh of man who spoke them. Remember the first verse above. Jesus said the flesh is of no avail, which means it has no importance in this age of judgment because all flesh will perish. It's only the light of God that lives for eternity and will put his living creations into their new bodies in paradise when it's ready.

gospelpreacher, I am not sure what this sentence means. I can put the ideas together as your sentence suggests, but it is rather strange. So I must take them for what you expressly say. First: your are going to give us verses that will teach us something, "In these scriptures, you will learn that...". I understand this first part. The next part, however, is a bit baffling. I assume this second part names the thing or the teaching that we are going to learn. Here I find the statement that, "The light of God was using the flesh of Jesus to be his voice." If you had said that the light of God is understood or seen in the words that Jesus spoke, I would assent to that. Because I know that the person who was the fleshly man Jesus was at the same time the eternal Son of God, himself: God and man at the same time, two natures one person. And since God is light, light is an attribute of the Son. And of course, the words which he spoke are light and cannot be darkness. But that "light uses flesh", is a strange notion. Light is not a person of God, but an attribute of God. And so cannot be personalized as "using" some thing. Your sentence reads as if LIGHT(some mysterious divine being) came along and manipulated the flesh(not even the conscious person) of Jesus to supplant his personal voice. This actually sounds like demon possession as it is described in the Bible(Gen 3:1; Mark 5:6-8; Acts 16:17-19). Light(as in: God is light) is not a spiritual being but an attribute of the triune God, like seeing things, vision, is an attribute of people with healthy eye sight. We would not say that vision uses peoples fleshly eyes to show them things. vision is an attribute of mankind created by God so that they might personally experience the objective world that he created. More accurately, Jesus was using his voice to do the will of the father, (John 12:49). Now, as to the last part,"also known as the gospel or spoken word", I have to ask you, is it the light or the voice that is so known? I think you meant the voice, but the grammar ambiguously could support both. If you asked me where the gospel is, I would have to point to the written words of God, which the whole Bible is (2Tim.3:16). Here is what Jesus said of them: "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.) John.5:39.

I hope this helps some, I don't mean to criticize: so much as to help you analyze and refine what you are trying to say and allow those texts you site to give their due honor to the eternal Son of God who was made flesh and dwelt among us to take away our sins on the cross.

Despite some technical oddities I found this post to be refreshing and informative.It also answered some questions. Better yet it left me with more questions.
