It was a reference to how the living soul can perish. Thanks to Adam and Eve's disobedience to God we live in a sinful world.

but happy soul do you realize that you and I are adam and eve and have chosen also your knowledge over his wisdom his understandings from the very first day we were responsible for our choices .. we have chosen our knowledge , we trust in our own knowledge and our own "feelings"
over his wisdom time and time again.
a THOUSAND TIMES A DAY WE Choose to EAT from the tree of our own knowledge. and way more times than I care to admit I still choose my own definitions over his! time and time again and not even realize I had done it!! not even realize it .
oh man that is where we have to have his grace or we can get into so much trouble. I mean trouble.
Happysoul what is a lie? .. anything we believe that isn't what the Lord believes. where does the enemy hide? yes in the lies which are like bricks that build our own kingdoms, or our own "feelings ", so the enemy hides and has rights to play behind anything we believe that isn't exactly what God believes and isn't exactly the way God defines it..
chances are........ that is a lot of stuff! I'll admit it , it is way way too much stuff and 99% of the time I not even know when I do it ............. we aren't even talking about anything as obvious as blatant " SINs" here either, sin never starts blatant , it starts way more subtle with just a feelings..................

I had a near death experience in Feb. My heart was stopped. CRR, multiple defibrillator shocks, the works. The doctors and nurses all said my being alive is a miracle. I don't recall a tunnel of bright light, but I sure do remember feeling the presence of God, and it was amazing.
