I saw this site once before, long ago, but I did not think much of it at the time. I have seen and been many different places... From one coast to the other to Japan, China, Thailand and so forth.

I was home-schooled throughout the younger days of my life. Until at the age of sixteen having completed national requirements of education I moved to land a job. I started at Walmart, where I remained even when I entered college a year later. After two years of the same basic routine day in and day out I decided to embark on both a dream and a adventure.

Now, rapidly approaching the age of 22... I have lost my faith, doubted everything I once knew. Seen more than most should and would give anything to make the choice again. These few years have taught me quite a lot.

I am a Network Manager, Engineer, Planner, and maintainer for the United States Marine Corps. I am here because I am hoping to find the parts of my innocence that I have lost.

I guess one might say I am looking for purpose and reason.

Welcome To Talk Jesus!

We're glad you are here creed. I felt led by God to give you this verse in psalms

psalm53:22
Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall you sustain you.

Jesus loves you and so do all of us here at Talk Jesus!

You are NOT here by mistake. Know that Jesus is loving and all He wants is for you to return to Him. Jesus is all about restoration.
I am glad you are here and know that you will find encouragement and hope here. Will be praying for you.

Welcome
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.Proverbs 21:6.

It sounds to me like you might be here to fulfill scripture.
Seeking truth is the way you should go.

Its easy to believe in a good God when you are a kid in America.
Blessed is he who does not see and yet believes.Maybe its just a chance to be blessed.

I am looking for purpose and reason.

That's a good foundation to build on -- a reason for living perhaps.

It made me think of a Bible passage that records how some responded or reacted (response can be better than reaction!) to teaching from the Scriptures:

Then Paul, as his custom was, went in to them [in Thessalonica], and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures... explaining and demonstrating that the Christ had to suffer and rise again from the dead, and saying, “This Jesus whom I preach to you is the Christ.”...

But the Jews who were not persuaded, becoming envious, took some of the evil men from the marketplace, and gathering a mob, set all the city in an uproar...

Then the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea. When they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews.

These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.

Therefore many of them believed, and also not a few of the Greeks, prominent women as well as men.

From Acts 17

So, some were upset by all this reasoning from the Scriptures, and some were prepared to think it over and check it out.

You'll find a bit of a muddle in here as well as balanced beliefs, but I hope you'll think it all over and check it out.

Regards,

Sam

psalm53:22
Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall you sustain you.

The thing about this is there is no cause or reason for him to bear it. Let alone me give it to him. I rightfully earned the burden and I will not taint the image or perfection of this man with my burden.

Jesus has already pain the price for all of us. The Apostle Paul put it this way: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. Now if Paul was the chief, your burden or sin cannot top that.

Jesus died unto sin once: but in that he lives, he lives unto God. God even tells us to come boldly unto His throne of grace to obtain mercy, and grace to help in our time of need.

Jesus bear a burden? His bearing burdens is over, and he gives only peace from the guilt of sin to those trusting in Him Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Burdens? King David saw another man's wife, desired to have her even though he was already married, she became pregnant, he had her husband killed and suffered much consequence over that. There was no sacrifice available for his sin and he was miserable with guilt. What could he do? He confessed his sins against God, and prayed "restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit." God said of him later that David was a man after his own heart who would do all his will.

Take you burdens to the Lord and leave them there. Today is the day of salvation and God is calling you into His kingdom. May God bless you to hear His words to you in Jesus' name.

I don't know.

I would rather face God with all my sins and wrongs. Everything in my life that I have ever done before him to judge me. As I have judged others, I will probably leave it in his hands. I will understand the judgement he passes either way.

Either way I can still try my best for that little hope I hold. If hell is my place then I shall take my rifle and charge its gates... It will be just another fight, in a different place.

I cannot simply have him cover them, its not who I am nor what I have done.

Glad to have you here Creed!

I cant imagine how hard it is to constantly have to battle something so heavy as your burden, more or less; it does make me sad that you insist on carrying it yourself and I can definetly see how faint your hope is for the future. I am more or less guessing but it seems like you are afraid of being powerless, like the decision to hold on to your sin is the only thing you feel you have left.

But I am glad you recognize a glimmer of hope as you seek to regain the parts of your innocence you lost as you said. Sacrifice is the key thing that comes to mind when I think about this. The newest version of the NIV contains the word sacrifice 357 times over throughout, and without sacrifice you shouldnt expect to ever get any innocence you once
had back.

Romans 3:25
God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished

The ultimate sacrifice has already been made as shown above, that's Christ whom is received only by faith in Him. Now what you may need to sacrifice is your comfort and take that leap of faith forward trusting Him. No one ever said anything on this planet was easy, especially God; but what He offers is a hope that one day you will be in a place where all the things of this life will be former.

God Bless and glad to have you here!
