1Peter 5:6-11
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exhalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
Not to long ago a dear brother and friend in Jesus asked one request from me and that was that I never ask him to take care again...the reason for this you may ask...its because as he said we should have no cares to take with us but instead we are to cast those cares at the feet of Jesus The one who can take them from us. I found through this just what power words do have when we speak them. How many times have we all said the words "take care" and in with well meaning intentions I bet we all have...but lets think about this Jesus doesn't want us to take any cares with us...He wants us to hand them over to Him to know that with and through Him we need not have any cares at all. Yes, we will all go through hard times and tough situations but with Jesus we can cast our saddness, doubt, fears and stresses at His feet knowing that in their place will come the sweet peace only Jesus can offer. What can be more wonderful than feeling and sharing the love, peace, and joy that can only come from and be Jesus Himself.
There is nothing more that the enemy wants than for us to have cares and burdens upon us, but part of being vigilant and sober when it comes to the enemy is by letting Jesus have those cares and things that plague and burden us...so I encourage you today to go foward as a soldier of God's army and in His precious name rebuke any attacks of the enemy satan...lay down those burdens and cares at the feet of Jesus and trade them in for the peace and joy of our Lord.
And the next time you are talking to someone instead of saying "take care" why not say " Take no cares with you because Jesus already has them" Isn't it wonderful to know with Jesus we have no cares...That in Him we are filled with love, peace and joy that surpasses any that can be found on earth. To God be the glory Forever and ever Amen!
