I don't think satan can read our mind, but when we speak he can certainly hear. So bide your tongue. This is why the Bible is so clear on minding our tongue.

I believe that Satan had to have God's permission to tempt/test Eve just as he needed permission to test Job. In both cases, he was trying to defeat God, but in no way was the outcome certain for him.I don't think satan can read our mind, but when we speak he can certainly hear. So bide your tongue. :rose: Could God allow Satan to be in us. I think he was in Job and Simon Peter, wasn't he? I know that he is not omnipotent, but God could allow him to know our thoughts, for God's purpose, couldn't He. Just like with Job. Is there any scripture that says that satan could never know our thoughts. I have had some pretty demonic thoughts sometimes and I just don't believe that they come from me. Does anyone have any info on this? Can people become posessed by satan, if God so chooses? Thanksixie:rose:
I believe that satan can read our thoughts and read our minds, perhaps not our hearts but his influence is powerful
I believe that satan cannot know our thoughts, because God created him, and he certainly doesn't have that power to read our thoughts. But he can certainly influence our thoughts, like how he influenced Eve.
In the words of Martin Luther, he said, "You cannot stop a bird from flying over your head, you can certainly prevent it from making poo on your head.".
You cannot stop thoughts coming to your mind, but you can certainly do something about the thoughts that come to your mind.

You may feel you have some bad thoughts.....they are only thoughts. As you dismiss such thoughts in the Name of Jesus.....they will have to go.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever been in a situation where you rebuked satan, satanic presence, demonic presence, whatever the "socially politically correct Christian" reference would be - in only your thoughts? A situation where you have been not spiritually bound, but physically bound, unable to speak, unable to open your mouth and need to rebuke satan?
They will flee without a word spoken when in your mind it is rebuked in Jesus name.
Until you have been at that point, I am sure that you will not think that satan can hear/know your thoughts.

Satan has no power. When faced with a person trusting in Jesus for their Salvation, Satan carries no threat, none whatsoever.
Satan took his best shot at Jesus in the desert (Mt 4:1-11; Mk 1:9-11; Lk 4:1-13) and lost. Even though the Lord was seriously weakened physically, having gone without food and water many days, He defeated the devil by firing Scripture bullets at him. Scripture knowledge and faith in its power will expose Satan's bluff and send him fleeing every time.
