When was Lucifer created? I'm guessing Heaven. Clearly he was around before the Earth was formed since he was present from the time man was willed into existence...but what I don't get is the sequence of events that occurred from his birth to his demise. I always thought of heaven as a place of eternity or timeless. If Lucifer was created as God's perfect angel and then over a course of progression he fell from grace, what is that period called if there's no time in eternity? Am I missing something here? How does progression happen in a realm where there's no time or timeless?

Interesting question Happy A few different theories to answer it too.
One theory. The Gap theory. He was cast to Earth between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2 It appears that the Earth 'may' have been built twice. I don't know,since I was not there.
Another theory says he was cast down after man was put onto the Earth. Ezekiel 28 talks about him some.
Look in Exodus and Nehemiah too. That might help a bit

I guess there would have to be some form of time/progression in eternity otherwise God's work would be stagnate and the universe wouldn't have been set in motion at all. I think what confused me was all the near death experience cases I've read about that claimed that people who died and witnessed the otherside didn't have any concept of actual time.

The gap theory is arguable at best and impossible to (objectively) substantiate.
About Lucifer's creation- a wise man once told me " the bible does not tell us everything but it does tell us everything we need to know". When we stand in the Lord's presence this is one of those questions you will have to ask.

He didn't come to fall. LOL He came to be better than God. Poor choice hey? He let his thinking get out of obedience to God and got into PRIDE. shudder.
So he was never perfect then? But then that means he was created faulty???

Isaiah 14
This is the passage that the theology of Lucifer as a fallen angel comes from. I believe that it is the only place in the Bible that we get the word lucifer. Lucifer is a Latin word, not Hebrew, and it means morning star (Venus).
If you read Isaiah 13 and 14 together, you see that the oracle is directed to the King of Babylon. The gist of the message is: "King, you were a bright star for a time, but your pride has come up against God and he has brought you low."
As far as I can see, the passage does not address or refer to Satan at all.
Which places more emphasis Boanerges' comment about the Bible telling us what we need to know - the Bible does not really tell us anything about the origins of Satan or of evil.
