We are saved by grace through faith-a gift from God (Ephesians 2:8). True faith is however not in mere words but in deeds. Jesus tells us, “Not every one that says Lord, Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven but only those who do the will of the Father (Matthew 7:21)”. He also tells us that, “Whoever accepts my commandments and obeys them, he is the one who loves me and I will reveal myself to him (John 14: 21) and My Father and I will come and live with Him (John 14:23). God showed His faithfulness, not by mere words, but by put it into action; even though that meant dying on the cross. James (James 2:14-17) therefore, tells us, “What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. He further tells us, “Abraham was right with God through his action when he offered Isaac on the altar. His faith was made perfect through his action. Furthermore, man is put right with God by what he does and not because of his faith alone” (James 2:21-26). On the other hand works that are not acts of faith-not done out of faith in God, do not save us (Ephesians 2:9 & Psalm 127:1)

Well put arunangelo. Also remember Paul's words to the Galatians;
4) Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
5) For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
6) For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
Galatians 5:4-6
True faith will always show love. This is how people tell we are Christians (John 13:34-35).

How does this scripture fit into your ideology?
For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and by him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of his blood on the cross.

This includes you who were once so far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions, yet now he has brought you back as his friends. He has done this through his death on the cross in his own human body. As a result, he has brought you into the very presence of God, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault. Col.1:19-22 NLT

This fits perfectly well.

OK great for a minute there I thought you were saying we need works in ordered to be reconciled with Father. Here in Paul's letter to the believers at Colossi we clearly see it has absolutely nothing to do with our works but Christ's work at the cross and that alone. You may want to edit your OP you have the "not" in the wrong place.

Furthermore, man is put right with God by what he does and not because of his faith alone”

It Should read; "Furthermore, man is not right with God by what he does and because of his faith alone” in accordance with the scriptures.

Works are important. Salvation comes by Grace and faith in Christ. However, we must be willing to accept it. We must confess our sins. We must repent.

Christ did only works lead and empowered of the Holy Spirit. Anything else is a work of the flesh and thus corrupt.
The Oil (Holy Spirit) never flowed unless the Blood (saving work of Christ) was first applied.
Works are a result of faith in God and abiding in the Vine, not vice-verse.
