Philippians 4:12-13 "Let's Discuss"

I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

Philippians 4:12-13 NIV


What I gather from this verse is that in all things give thanks. Regardless of how small or big our wallets are we must always be content in any situation. Remembering all things work out for the good in OUR LIVES.

it wasn't too long ago i had read this scripture. the one thing that suddenly jumped out at me was this: paul said he had learned the secret of being contented no matter what. and then he said it!! i can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. that is the secret.

no matter what, i can overcome because He strengthens me. as long as i remain in Him my future, my destiny is settled. my strength is not of myself but of Him as are all good things in my life, even my life.
