KJV and hymns vs. other translations and modern worship

This is still just my opinion:

Obviously I will have to leave that with you. If you have no confidence in what you are reading you should discard it immediately and learn to read the original manuscripts. It is impossible to please God except by faith and if there is no faith in what you read then you cannot please Him with the reading of it. But then of course you would have to suppose your skills perfect and far superior to any of the skilled men and women who deciphered the Word before you. Man is imperfect but God is perfect and completely able.
Personally I am of the belief that He knows how weak and foolish I am am He makes it simple for me to know His will.
Again personally, I have complete confidence in this; He is able to speak to me through what He has allowed me to have. I will not find error in that as long as I am listening to His voice and walking in His Spirit.
Simple childlike faith,
hearing His voice,
I simply cannot go wrong.

What of the mormon bibles or the JW bibles? What do you think about the concordant translation?

Second, I am not a cultist so that question is not applicable to me.

Third,what do you think about preachers, friends, brothers or sisters in Christ sharing with you. Obviously it share the same flaw as a human translator and that is the human component itself and would have to be discounted. Then there is the matter of hearing from God personally; by the same standard you would have to doubt what you hear as you are quite human yourself and also reject that. Soon there would be no room for faith at all.

Without the wriiten Word over the last 20 centuries it is doubtful that any human or human organization would have anything resembling the original texts.
Try sitting in a room full of 20 or 30 people. Wisper something in the next person's ear and pass it down the line. By the time you reach the end it will bear 0% resemblance to what was originally spoken.
So by that token without the written Word of God none of us would have ever heard the Word of God.
But again, those are just my views.

Well first, I do not believe that the originals still exist but it is very evident that not all translations are the same or even communicate the same message. Secondly, I believe that it is just as you say and most of the translations used today are the product mistaken translation and bias.

The older the manuscript the smaller the manuscript.
While the originals I know of are only fragments one could basically compose 98% of the New Testament just by the letters the early church wrote each other. It seems they had a real love for the Word and it was their greatest joy to discuss it.
As far as Old Testament manuscripts the Jewish scribes considered their copies to be exactly on par with the last generation so many times the oldest manuscript were simply not kept.

If by originals you mean copies concerning the OT, I agree but most of the English translations were not totally translated from the Greek and Hebrew texts directly but in some cases translated from the Latin Vulgate which I believe is questionable.

Some areas the translations would have been better had they referenced the Septuagint, the greek translation of the OT to get a better understanding for the translating of the Greek NT texts.

'The Bible', 'the Scriptures', 'the Word of God' are commonly used interchageably, while each term has its emphasis.

These scriptures are not referring to the bible, they are referring to Jesus the Son of God. The fact is the bible ( the compilation of the 66 books of canonized scripture) did not exist until the 4th century.

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

the word "quick" is...

Here again is this scripture referring to Jesus as the Word or is it referring to the scriptures themselves?
