PARABLE OF THE PENCIL

The Pencil Maker took the pencil aside, just before putting him into the box. There are 5 things you need to know, he told the pencil, before I send you out into the world. Always remember them and never forget, and you will become the best pencil you can be.

ONE: You will be able to do many great things, but only if you allow yourself to be held in Someone's hand.

TWO: You will experience a painful sharpening from time to time, but you'll need it to become a better pencil.

THREE: You will be able to correct any mistakes you might make.

FOUR: The most important part of you will always be what's inside.

AND FIVE: On every surface you are used on, you must leave your mark.

No matter what the condition, you must continue to write.
The pencil understood and promised to remember, and went into the box with purpose in its heart.

Now replacing the place of the pencil with you; always remember them and never forget, and you will become the best person you can be.

ONE: You will be able to do many great things, but only if you allow yourself to be held in God's hand. And allow other human beings to access you for the many gifts you possess.

TWO: You will experience a painful sharpening from time to time, by going through various problems, but you'll need it to become a stronger person.

THREE: You will be able to correct any mistakes you might make.

FOUR: The most important part of you will always be what's on the inside.

AND FIVE: On every surface you walk through, you must leave your mark.

No matter what the situation, you must continue to do your duties. By understanding and remembering, let us proceed with our life on this earth having a meaningful purpose in our heart.

I do not know where you get your stories, but wherever they come from they are a delight to read. Always encouraging and uplifting. And today, as most days, they speak volumes.

Thanks for the blessings. :thumbs_up

Why Stories???

I take you back some 26 years ago. I was not saved and I knew God was real but I didn’t follow HIS teachings. My wife and I had just moved to New Jersey and she was attending a Church. I, on the other hand, always found every reason Not to go to Church. Finally, one day, my wife talked me into going to Church with her. Since the move I had stopped playing sports and missed it. My wife, Bobbie, told me that if I attended her Church for two weeks a month I could play softball with the Church team. At first I only went two weeks a month, but deciding which two weeks became a chore. I started going every week. The ministry was more my age and I liked his sermons. I was starting to learn more and more about the Bible and Jesus.

Sitting in Church one Sunday, as I was day dreaming about how I had a great job, two beautiful girls and a wife that I loved. The minister was talking about a man that had everything, this caught my ear. He talked about how this man was driving one day and he had his family with him. There was a bad accident and as the man lay there bleeding he realized that everyone was dead except for himself. The minister said the man knew about Jesus and his promise and had never accepted Jesus into his life. The man was dieing and his thoughts went to thinking that if what he had been taught, then he’d go to Hell and his family would go to Heaven. The minister then asked everyone to bow their heads. This is what he said next… “With all heads bowed and eyes closed, is there anyone who would like to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior today?” I didn’t have to think about it, I raised my hand.

At that moment I felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. My inside and outside felt all excited. I talked with the minister after Church and from that day on I’ve continued to grow in Gods’ Word. I knew that not all the people in that Church were saved and I wanted to find more people that were and talk to them.

That’s when I started searching the Internet, looking for other believers. During my search I found a web site with inspirational stories. They lifted my heart and touched my soul. I started saving them and the more I read the more they helped me understand things in the Bible. I printed out some and shared them with friends of mine. They loved them and asked me for more. It dawned on me that there must be many more people like us that would love to read these stories. I also thought that they might find the web sites that I had found. Christians sharing the love of God and what HE had done for them. I also knew that they would be learning the Bible and would have many questions. The stories had helped me so much that I decided to share them with others. I started posting them on the web sites I went to.

I didn’t start doing this because I wanted to. I did it because I felt that this was what God wanted me to do. Everyone is looking for something or someone to love them. Their also looking for something to belong to. I knew they’d be searching the Internet looking for that. Sooner or later they’d find these message boards. If, by the Grace of God, they found these stories they might just read them. It would be their first experience with Christian writers. They too might be at that point in their lives where they needed to make a choice. These stories will help them to understand Gods’ love and the Bible. So you ask why I post so many stories??? Now you know and I’ll continue to do so, God willing.

In His Amazing Grace,

Awesome testimony. I love the way God moves when it comes to drawing people to Himself. It's even funnier when the person doesn't know it's Him doing it.

Sharing these delightful stories is your ministry...with His blessing upon it. And what a wonderful ministry to have. To encourage and uplift those in Christ as well as instill a longing within the hearts of those who do not yet know Him.

I am very thankful that you have decided to post them here.
