They're saying Christians are based on hatred

Member
Can you believe this? The Government - our government, is saying that Christians - meaning us, are based on hatred! I read this out of the WORLDNETDAILY EXCLUSIVE.

Please read information below.

The report from DHS' Office of Intelligence and Analysis defines right-wing extremism in the U.S. as "divided into those groups, movements and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups) and those that are mainly anti-government, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration. " Love always, your sister in Christ Jesus,

Matt 5:11 Jesus said: "How blessed are you whenever people insult you, persecute you, and say all sorts of evil things against you falsely because of me! Rejoice and be extremely glad, because your reward in heaven is great! For that's how they persecuted the prophets who came before you."

I know this would probably look bad for Christians, but there are religious extremist out there as well, and this is what they are likely referring too?

The ones who despise government and so on, not all christian groups follow Christianity sadly. Even Daniel respected authority, when king Nebuchadnezzar tried to kill him and his friends.

Paul also says not to speak evil of the rulers of your people, and so on. We have some Christians hollering that Obama is the antichrist, this is seen all over the internet.

Its not good to say things like that about your leader. And that is why these christian groups get a bad rap, because they don't pay attention to the scriptures as they should.

We are called to preach the gospel, not to rail on authorities. That's why i disagree with some christian activist...

God bless

Well said Fellowservant.

But just because we are against abortion, hardly makes us hateful. We believe in saving a life not destroying it.

I'm not going to say that Obama is the antichrist, but there are changes being made & from what I have been hearing, they are not good.

I trust & respect in GOD'S Goverment! But the goverment of man I have no trust in.

Sure Jesus said "Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to GOD the things that are GOD'S.'' {Matthew 22:21]

I will do as my Lord says.

Psalms 118:8-9
It is better to trust in the Lord Than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the Lord Than to put confidence in princes.

Psalms 146:3
Do not put your trust in princes, Nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help.

Proverbs 24:21
My son, fear the Lord and the king; do not associate with those given to change;

Jeremiah 17:5-7
5 Thus says the Lord: "Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart departs from the Lord.
6 For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see when good comes, but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land which is not inhabited.
7 "Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord.

Acts 5:29
Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said: "We ought to obey God rather than men.

I don't care what the world says. I care what Jesus has to say. I'm deaf to the world's opinions.

Good points made brother Fellowservant.

Jonah it reminds me of the saying, "What is good will be call evil, and evil will be call good."

Never really knew the sufficient of this scripture (which may not be the exact words) but in today's world the reality stares you right in the eye.

Yes, I do believe it! Remember the Klu Klux Klan? They rose out of a radical right wing "Christian" belief in the USA that blacks are inferior and there are white church goers in America who believe that to this day. They believe that if your skin color isn't white, you're inferior. And they're upset that a black man is in the White House.

I think our Homeland Security Department is correct when they fear the rising emotion growing out of these "Tea Party" demonstrations that have blossomed around the United States in recent weeks with thousands of Christians participating. While these demonstrations began as protests against public policy, they could easily morph into violence against non-whites because prejudice is still alive and well in America and in the American church.

We in the American church have to stop pretending that statements like this are entirely false. They may be overblown, but they're not entirely false. We must pull our collective "head" out of the sand and face reality.

Your absolutely correct about the Klu Klux Klan, Ed.

Now that's a bad name in Christianity.

One group I {personally} do not welcome nor except them as a Christian, or anyone or group like them.

Did any of you hear it yet on {TV} the news, where 2 students face being expelled for praying for sick Professor?

I mean rumor has it, that soon it will be against the law to be a Christian or worship GOD, at all.

Rumor has it, that the government doesn't like those who want to worship GOD because they {the government} can not control us, and that they want us to worship them instead of GOD, so they can control us.

Now, I am NOT saying, we shouldn't pay our taxes, what I am saying is beware & be warned. A time is coming when we as Christians will be in hiding for just Worshiping GOD, and that time is sooner than one thinks.

Your Sister in Christ Jesus, *genesis

Thanks for reminding us of this Coconut. Now lets go into the world, knowing it hates us but that Jesus Christ loves us. What more do you need, egg in your beer?

I am a Christian. I am also an American.

Thanks sister *genesis for bringing this into the forum.

I too have been keeping an ear open to this.

SLE, I must take exception to some things you said.
blacks are inferior and there are white church goers in America who believe that to this day.

Remember there are church's like Rev. Wrights also. The opposite, yet the same.

"Tea Party" demonstrations that have blossomed around the United States in recent weeks with thousands of Christians participating. While these demonstrations began as protests against public policy, they could easily morph into violence against non-whites because prejudice is still alive and well in America and in the American church.

Honestly, ...your either missguided, or just don't know what your talking about here.

The Tea Parties are in response to the governments "spending", which is out of control.

Not policys, and it has nothing to do with race.

The tea party movements are truely from the grass roots. There is not 1 politician or news commentator taking credit for the ground swell of voters who see the wreckless spending going on in our government. And I myself know more independent voters (such as myself) who are of this opinion, than I do republicans. A friend of almost 20 years, and 20 years my senior, is a staunch Dem, and he also doesn't like what's happening with this out of control spending.

Finally to all~

I am a Christian 1st. I am an American 2nd.

The two are separate.. and are yet both unique in this world. I have granted to me certain unalienable rights
..which no other country guarantees to their citizens. Those rights deserve to be defended and remain intact.

Before I stand to proclaim my freedom to 'preach the gospel', I'll stand to proclaim anothers freedom of speech in this country to disagree with that stand. But not to tear that freedom away from me ..not before I fight for the freedom to remain.

Freedom of speech is granted by your constitution people. Preaching the gospel occurs regardless.

LoJ, How could you say such a thing?

I'm sorry LoJ, but I never said what you quoted

Quote:
blacks are inferior and there are white church goers in America who believe that to this day.

I would never say such a thing - because i am not a racess.

I love all GOD'S children - what ever shape, size or color.

NOR Did I say;

Quote:
"Tea Party" demonstrations that have blossomed around the United States in recent weeks with thousands of Christians participating. While these demonstrations began as protests against public policy, they could easily morph into violence against non-whites because prejudice is still alive and well in America and in the American church.

These are your words & not mine.

All I said & quoted was this;

I just knew I should have put the full name. You must have overshot reading my 3rd sentence:

SLE, I must take exception to some things you said.

SLE.... is SpiritLedEd.

I wasn't quoting you *genesis.

Those things said were by him.

Marco

p.s. You could do an edit on your post #17 and erase most or all of it...
Then just put :doah:

My apologies, LoJ I miss read what you said.

But as far as Brother SLE goes, he was speeking of the -so called-christian religions- that give True Christians a bad name.

And he is correct to say that about the Klu Klux Klan. That is one evil religion that does not belong in Christianity.

All SLD is doing is stating a true fact about our soscity.

And I qoute:

I think our Homeland Security Department is correct when they fear the rising emotion growing out of these "Tea Party" demonstrations that have blossomed around the United States in recent weeks with thousands of Christians participating. While these demonstrations began as protests against public policy, they could easily morph into violence against non-whites because prejudice is still alive and well in America and in the American church.

the -so called-christian religions- that give True Christians a bad name.

Perhaps we should characterize these as being cloaked in Christianity, since they do not represent true Christianity.
..Pseudo-Christians/Christianity

And he is correct to say that about the Klu Klux Klan. That is one evil religion that does not belong in Christianity.

All SLD is doing is stating a true fact about our society.

I was pointing out SLE's narrow definition of "radical right wing "Christian" belief", by pointing out
Reverend Jeremiah Wright, who's religion and beliefs are cut from the same cloth
of .."the radical right wing "Christian" belief".

As well as his misinformation about the tea parties and what they represented.

they could easily morph into violence

This is the same kind of rhetoric that was said when The Passion of the Christ was released
about Christians "committing acts of violence" against Jews.

Such statements are just as inflammatory and irresponsible now, as it was then.

And again..

Before I stand to proclaim my freedom to 'preach the gospel', I'll stand to proclaim anothers freedom of speech in this country to disagree with that stand. But not to tear that freedom away from me ..not before I fight for the freedom to remain.
