OSAS vrs NOSAS or losing salvation

So according to these scriptures salvation is something we are waiting to receive.

We have eternal life now......the completion of our salvation is yet future when this corruption puts on in corruption, this mortal puts on immortality. 1Cor. 15:53 2 Corinthians 5:4

4 Our dying bodies make us groan and sigh, but it’s not that we want to die and have no bodies at all. We want to slip into our new bodies so that these dying bodies will be swallowed up by everlasting life. 5 God himself has prepared us for this, and as a guarantee he has given us his Holy Spirit. Yes I added the scripture that you referenced so others can compare it with your interpretation.

The scripture that is there now is from another version that I didn't post. I use the KJV.....and it isnt my interpretation but quoted from the Bible.

The first statement above, goes without question!
Of course we have to abide in Christ, and what born again Christian wont?
WE are born again!
Old things have passed away, behold all things are become new.

Of course anyone apart from Christ, has no eternal security...That is without question too.
They have not been born again, and if they were to stand before the Father he would say,"Depart from me, I NEVER knew you!"

What I have heard said here is even those who have trusted in Christ has no security......That goes against the written word, for he is able to keep us from falling.....and we have the confidence in him that what we have committed unto him he is able to keep, against that day.
The Holy Spirit dwelling in us, will never leave us.

Jesus said ,Those who come to me, I will in no wise cast out.
WE either believe him, or we don't....that is the question.

The prodigal Son is a picture of losing fellowship by living a carnal life, not ones salvation.
The Son, remained a Son, and when he repented and came home he came to open arms of love....
The Bible teaches if it were possible to lose ones salvation, we would have to crucify Christ all over again....Hebrews 6:1-6 for it is impossible to bring him to repentance again.....
See what the word is saying?

Well Grace I think we are at a place where we need to disagree and move on. Like I said earlier I respect your decision to pull out of the thread. We just don't see these scriptures in the same way or manner. I am not going to hash this over and over again with anyone. God bless you.

Hebrews 9:27&28
27*And just as it is destined that each person dies only once and after that comes judgment, 28*so also Christ died only once as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again but not to deal with our sins again. This time he will bring salvation to all those who are eagerly waiting for him.

I pray, one day we will be in unity of our faith, and with each other, and by the grace of our Lord, be in agreement on these things, for I am fully persuaded it is truth, from the very author of truth. Jesus Christ.

I pray also that you might find a fellowship to be a part of, as that is also Gods will for our walk, to not forsake the gathering of ourselves together as the manner of some is. Hebrews 10:25 :friends:

I think what you mean is I do not agree with what you call truth. I also think we are both in for a big surprise. As far as finding a fellowship, I do fellowship with other believers quite often I just choose to do it outside the confines of the carnal man-made religious sytem. But seriously doubt you would understand and we will save that for another thread and another day.
