Prereeta's avater (there may be others using the same one) depicts water being turned into wine. The story is told in John, chapter 2. It was sumething that used to annoy me no end. To me, it seemed such a futile thing to do - such a waste of power, but, maybe I'm wrong, in my way of thinking, by turning water into wine, He was saying: "If I can do this to water, tasteless and bland, how much more can I do for you, if only you'll let me." It makes more sense if I think of it like that. What sayest thou?

Jesus, being a wedding guest and being approached by His mother that there was a need, may have done it to honor both his hosts and his parent...
or
By doing this, He was showing us, the Church (His Bride) that He was more than capable of having the Good Wine at the Banquet Table that He (the Bridegroom) is preparing for us!

Why does the thought of Jesus turning water into wine "annoy you to no end"...or maybe a better question is, why would you presume to judge anything God did as useless?
It annoys me that Jesus turned water into wine, and ever since religious men have been trying to turn the wine back into water.
