My name is Myrtlee..........Ummmmm??????

My Mom had 9 children, I was 7th.

By the time she got to us, I think she was tired of naming kids.
I only had one name, no middle, and I think, no meaning! LOL :embarasse

Knew a few ,but not all......will you place the answers, and the scripture so we can study these?
That would be nice, and add to our understanding of Gods word. Please?

Pastor Bob says we are to be able to give an answer ,when we are asked, and I have trouble remembering Bible references . It would be a good practice for me to memorize these.

Don't always have it your way.

This name talk reminds me of what I wanted, but no one else cared. My name is Barbara MAY, I was born in May. When my daughter was born in 1960 we named her Linda June because she was born in JUNE. When Linda had her daughter Jennifer in April, I SAID “ we can name her Jennifer APRIL” as she was born in APRIL and keep this unique thing going. NO they had another idea and named her Jennifer Ann after her father’s mother. Yea, what could have been.

I remember Linda choosing this verse, if I remember right, I think it was her baptismal verse. I remember thinking how a little girl would choose that verse. I will have to ask her.

A GOOD name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold. Proverbs 22:1 KJV

VerseLady,
What a unique thing you had going with the middle names...
I can't imagine not keeping such a lovely tradition going.

I'll have to ask Jenny what she thinks

Lyncean
Yes because it cannot necessarily happen every month. Or your child would be strange, maybe but not necessarily so anymore lot of strange names out there. Of course I have this marvelous story about a baby named BLUE. I have it up. I guess that is all I can say, here.

But far above any name, or unique way I value my relationship with Jenny my granddaughter. We have something special going. A real bond. which the other grandmother did not have. She was a rather harsh woman, she treated the kids OK, but nothing special. So it is good that Jenny has her name, I have Jenny’s heart, which is far better.

Till next time
Barbara

BTW: I can’t seem to do a subscribe. Maybe because I am new and this is my 5th. Message. We will see.

No more in trouble REY

I learned my lesson.

May be 20 years ago I was with my friend Arlene. We were grabbing a bite as her daughter Dawn was in labour with her first baby.

We talked as friends do. And went back to the waiting room and waited some more. AFTER I went home. My husband said ARLENE called. And left message "That was the right NAME" I thought RIGHT NAME! Humm I did't EVEN MENTION ANY NAMES.

I let it go.

Somehow LATER. I found out it was MARLENA. I had given her the name of a person in a computer user group. I just said I THINK he can help you, not sure. SHE had called and left that message (NOT ARLENE-MARLENEA). I am not into naming friends babies.

Friends, IRENE neighbor from old neighborhood. DARLENE a friends sister.

May be ANOTHER? I sort of want to stop thinking.

Speaking of me naming a baby. Although, in a miraculous way I did before the fact. BABY BLUE. Wasn't me. Really I had nothing to do WITH HIS NAME. You see now that he is born, his name is REALLY BLUE. That is exactly how it played out Oct 2007. The baby shower nursery set UP back in 2007. A wild story that is still playing out.
