Slipping

My friend, we reap what we sow. I can tell you by the Spirit of God that it is time to sow to the spirit. Spend some time in worship, the Word and prayer. Find a good book by an anointed brother that will stir your spirit and you wil find that the fire of God will begin to burn in your heart again.
Our relationship with God is based on His grace and yet we develope our relationship with Him like we would any other. If you want to get to know someone you spend time interacting with them. And like any relationship if we do not spend the time and share the love it can begin to grow cold as the business and stress of life begins to fill our every thought. A wonderful relationship is something to be nurtured and place high on our priority list, the one we have with Him should take pre-eminence over all.
The great thing is that when we turn around and take one step back towards our Love He is there waiting at the roadside, robe and ring in hand.
Many blessings in Jesus wonderful Name,
brother Larry.

yes a lot of agreement here...

Father Almighty may you come to remember our brother in your name whatever the things causing him to be slipping away from You... Give him strength Lord to draw near I pray; in prayer, or in worship even by reading Your Word... Rise up within him Lord and let him know Your truth... I pray for a hunger and thirst on him to know You more. Thank you and we give you praise. In Jesus name. Amen

The Lord bless you brother Aaron..

Sister in Christ,

Reymielin

Psalm 63

O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee:
my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee
in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

To see thy power and thy glory,
so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
Thus will I bless thee while I live:
I will lift up my hands in thy name.

My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness;
and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:
When I remember thee upon my bed,
and meditate on thee in the night watches.

Because thou hast been my help,
therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.
My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.

But those that seek my soul, to destroy it,
shall go into the lower parts of the earth.
They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.

But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.

feel like i am slipping away from God
How much time are you spending with Him (Prayer/Meditation/Scripture reading) each day? And when you answer that question, don't be evasive - i.e. "as much as I can". Quantify your answer.

Its easy to slip away from God when we allow the cares of the world to become more important than He is. (see Mk 4:18-19)

i generally pray 3 times a day probably 15- 20 minutes a time and i probably spend between 1-2 hours studying the word

:shade: Now- find a CD that moves your heart and spend an hour or two in pure worship. As you pour out your heart and He pours out His love there is a special communion, we were after all created to worship and fellowship with God.

"God on Mute" is an excellent book on dealing with those times when God seems to be gone away from you. The author's name is Pete Grieg.

thanks for all the advice guys, i am feeling a lot better now, i have been going through a book called Freedom in Christ, whichis really helpful, God showed me that it is not about allowing my feelings to tee where i am with Christ, but that i must only lean on God's truth.
Thank you all!

What a blessing to hear you are doing well my friend. God sometimes (in my experience) allows dry times to cause us to hunger and thirst all the more for Him. As always what we construe to be a place of great difficulty is really a place of great blessing when we allow Him to work in our lives.

aaroncam85.Good morning brother,it's 6:50 AM,over here.
Being a Christian is a daily walk of faith, keep your eyes on
the prize.

It's great to hear that things are better for you, Aaroncam. Indeed, feelings are not a reliable measure of where we are spiritually. They are the devil's toys and he loves to play with them.
