i was in church at a very young age,i knew only what was spoken to me,i was allways curious of the scriptures, because they were so interesting,but as a child i was told never to question them,after a long hard life and at the age of 49,i decided to research the words of our lord,three yrs no sleep,devoted to my search,sometimes i wish i did not,this is my words mine only,our lord was a very firm man was a firm man,his words were harsh and mighty,many children of our lord were put to death by the sword of Paul,beheaded,in our lords words murder was the upmost unforgiveble sin,yet paul said our lord met him on the road,and appointed him a apostle,this is my opion!why would our lord appoint the very man that murdered his children!this is my thought,and lord forgive me is this should not have been shared.

not jesus at all ! my question is there was know one on the road but paul,he said jesus appointed him,in that day and time christians were being hunted down and killed,so they went into hidding,could it be possible paul said this to become a spy among the people of christ!dont forget paul was a roman soldiger who killed many of the christians very many children also,the most unforgivible sin was murder!im not attacking anyone just for the wisdom of jesus words!the bible has been revised so many times,all the books added since our lords words,he tells us to be wise,be not fooled by false prohets!thanks my friend for replying.Leslie brother in the word.

The fact that God chose Paul should be a great encouragement to us.....
His Grace is greater than all our sins.
If God is willing to save one like Paul, there is hope for even me, and you....
What about David who God said was a man after his own heart.
Yet he took a mans wife, had him murdered, yet when he was confronted with his sin, he repented, and God forgave him.
Our God is full of mercy, not willing that any should perish, and that means you and me.
There is only one sin God will not forgive, the sin of unbelief.

i have not just read the new bible of today,i have researced the scriptures{our lords words}any man or women can make a strong stament,and if enough people believe that stament we have a congrgation,to all that have know interest in just our lords words alone none after,our lord was a stern man as a son to the master,people do not want the truth of his wordsa that is why so many books were writin after his pass,the bible has been revised god only know how many times to fit our way of living,the sermon should be the bible!!

God is God, He will not let his word fail.

Yes there are those who write new Bibles and you need to stay away from most of them, but the King James version has remained integritas, in other words it remains true to the original. Read it, or the New King James.

God brought my husband and myself to a wonderful church that teaches line upon line, precept upon precept from the word. We go through a whole book before starting another.
What a blessing.
Maybe you can find one also.

The lord warned us there would be a great falling away before his return, I feel we are seeing this now, but that doesnt mean he doesnt have his remnant who are faithful.
That is what he has called us to...Be Faithful...Luke 16:10 and others

I would say you just need to get into Gods word, and read it from the front all the way through......may take a year, but God has promised his word will not return void, and I believe you need that very much.

Understand, I do agree with you on there being many misunderstandings and mistranslations of the scriptures and that KJV brought about some of them that still exist today. Because of this many today are very confused about the bible and it's entity. It's a great tool but it's not our teacher.

On a second note though, you talk about Jesus' words in the scriptures, do you know that those scriptures were not written until after Jesus was crucified and they were written in much the same manner as the other epistles of the new testament? You have mentioned more than once that Jesus said murder was the "most unforgiveable sin". Please list your scripture references or we will have to edit out such claims in the future.

In the scriptures we see that Paul was accepted by the original disciples and his life was full of the evidence that God called him. If God is unable to forgive Paul for murder then we are all in trouble. Jesus said that if we hate another we are guilty of murder. Christ was the perfect sacrifice for mankind's sin.

I have found that a word study on logos and rhema is very helpful.

Even if someone prefers one translation over another, we should never become someone who looks down on others who don't read our translation. That would just give people the impression of a "holier-than-thou" attitude, which isn't very loving.
