can we pray for all those going though this storm, Father we lift our brothers and sisters up to you, we ask for their protection and safe move , sweet lord have mercy we pray on all involved in this ,you oh lord are a very present help in times of troubles , we ask to that you would bring peace instead of fear in jesus name amen

Our Lord is He who created all things and it is He we must call upon, not only to take away our fears, but to bring quietness to the raging storm.
By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.
He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: He layeth up the depth in storehouses.
Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.

Prayers for those in Gustav's Path
I've lived on the Gulf Coast for 35 years, which is all my life. I seen many storms and the Lord has seen fit to bless me and my loved ones with protection and supplies. I've gotten really annoyed how the media uses these storms to increase their ratings and cause undo panic. I don't care how much technology the Weather Channel has, these storms are unpredictable and only God knows where they will land and how much damage will be done. There have been lines at the gas stations since Wed. and gas prices went up 20 cents. Americans are very spoiled. I know that whatever happens, that I have more than enough to survive.
However, the people who suffer the most live on these small islands in the Caribbean. Many lives have already been lost. They live in poorly built homes and in poverty. They do not have storm shelters and I doubt their government provides much if any assistance.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your abundant provision. I pray that if you see fit Father, to slow down the winds of Gustav and when it does make landfall, that the damage is minimal. Keep those who are traveling safe and I pray especially for those who are being evacuated from New Orleans.
Lord, so many who have so little have already lost loved ones and what meager processions they had. I pray that you keep their faith strong and comfort them during their time of rebuilding.
Lord I pray for those who do not believe in You. All you have to do is look at the Weather Channel and see that these hurricanes are developed by divine design and not mere coincidence. You are the One who tells the ocean where to stop.
Thank You for revealing Yourself to me and granting me eternal salvation. I do not have to ask why or how. I know that all things are part of Your plan. Amen

Lord, I believe in Your Almighty power and if it is in accordance with Your will may these storms be calmed. As people cry in despair in this suffering and chaos, may they turn to You, and may souls be saved not only from the storms but for eternity. Thank You dear Lord Jesus.
