Please pray for my wife and I. August 7th was the first anniversary of our son's death and, for my wife (his mother) it is especially difficult.

Please bring your peace, love and comfort to this family who are saddened by memories of loss. May Your precious love fill their hearts with deep joy..knowing that You are the only one who can truly unite joy with sorrow.

you are so precious to our Lord, who knows your troubles and pains, and has promised to send His comfort, yes, and blessing.... yea, Jesus Himself said, "Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted." Matthew 5:4
He did not suggest it might happen, no, He did not even say we need look for it.... He said, and cannot lie, nor does He today, you SHALL be comforted... and I will, and even now am praying for you and your beloved wife.... and I know that your mourning is great, my dear brother in Christ.... and so shall be the comfort of God in Jesus Christ our Lord for you both this day.

I know you have probably read and heard this Scripture many times.... but today, I ask the Lord, that by His everlasting Spirit, He grant unto you a new blessing of His joy, peace and wonderful love as you read anew the words of the Lord.... and discover the eternal freshness of His promise... and in so being mightily blessed, you take and share the love and comfort of God in Christ Jesus the Lord with your dear and beloved, precious wives.

I will surely pray for you and your wife. Although i do not know what it is like to lose a child, I know the pain of losing a person you love as if they were your child. My mom and dad have suffered as your wife and yourself do also. My brither passed away into the arms of Jesus almost 3 years ago. It has been tough- and my mom and dad still today grieve terribly as do my sister and my other brother and myself. I believe I read in a post you wrote once that your son wasnt very old. My brother was 33. As for my self- I have accepted that my dear brother is with Jesus and I WILL see him again soon. I still miss him but am glad to know he is so safe and waiting for the rest of us.
I will pray and I do hope your wife and yourself will be greatly comforted by the Lord. Well-I more than hope- I know you will be.

I ask that SpiritLedEd and his wife have the comfort of the Holy Spirit as they mark the anniversary of their son's death. You also know the deep sense of loss through a Son's death, yet that Son is Your gift to us as our Passover Lamb; He is risen!

Wendy - our son was 32 when he died. I know he's with Christ because I had the high honor of leading him to the Lord approximatly half an hour before he passed.
