Hi brother ;)

I live in South Africa and I'm 24 as well, the same age as you.

I don't have much education so finding a worthwhile job isn't easy, but I am working in a family business and I enjoy it.

I see no problem that you shouldn't apply for unemployment funds, Jesus won't think anything less of you. Furthermore, place your complete trust in God and live according to the ways He set forth in His word.

You mention in your profile that you love God, if you do, I'm sure you will agree that you should listen to God? Not true?

Matthew 6:25-34

Do Not Worry

25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

2 Thessalonians 3:10
For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat.

2 Thessalonians 3:12
Now those who are such we command and exhort through our Lord Jesus Christ that they work in quietness and eat their own bread.

It's a given that you won't have food if you don't work, so take that into account, but do it without stressing or worrying about it.

I was "sort of" homeless for 3 months about a month ago, I lived with a few friends, but I didn't know what to do or where to go, there were some days where I didn't even have a meal, even after working hard the whole day, it's not my fault, I know, but it was a growing process.

I won't say I'll keep you in prayer only, I'd like you to discuss things with me. Why is it hard for you to find a job? Why is your family broken and fighting? Why do you feel that you aren't worth anything?

Answer those questions and we can discuss it together, I am here for you.

God bless
Faithful Son

I have prayed for you, brother. I understand how much it hurts to be in a family that feels as though it has no love. May the Lord bless all of you.

It has been said that when you are down the only way is up MmMm This must be true of course

I have never been quite so low, but I do know that there is a way up.

Speaking from where I am....I would advise....a good relationship with Jesus, a good church fellowship, and thanking God that you are alive with so much to enjoy in life.

Amen? Reach out brother. I feel the answer lies beyond your present circle

I understand your situation. In my family so far I'm the only one pursuing a relationship with God. Don't worry God is with you.. Let them see God's wonderfulness by the testimony of your life. God bless you brethren, I know amidst the seeming clutter in your life, God is still at work. All thing work together for the good of those who love God. Trust in Him.

Keep a thankful heart. Everything might be falling apart but they will soon fall into place. Just keep on looking to Jesus.

Your brothers and sisters in Christ are praying for you

Hey jchsap83,

1 Corinthians 16:13-14

"Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. Do everything in love. "

My heart goes out to you it must be so hard I will be praying for you.

Dear Father, I lift up this brother to you and pray that you can comfort him and help him in this time of need. I pray that you can be his rock to which he can cling when all else is calling apart.

Proverbs 3:5-6

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;

in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight."

Jeremiah 17:14

"Heal me, O LORD, and I will be healed;
save me and I will be saved,
for you are the one I praise."

I cannot speak from experience of being in your situation but please know that God is faithful and does not forsake us ever.

In your weakness he can be strong!

Your in my prayers,

Love Jack

Brother, you can't change your family if they don't want Jesus. The immediate need is a different place to be away from the yelling and chaos. May God meet all of your needs in every way: a home, shelter from worry, and that job that is the one He holds for you.

God can do this. And as Stephen said, a church or bible study fellowship is essential.

If you are sure that Jesus is your Lord and Saviour, then You can rest in His promises and move in the direction and footsteps that He would have you go.:sun:

Your life, your safety and well-being, your broken heart: all these things and more are highly important to God.

Dear brother, have faith! God puts before us many hardships to make us stronger.I have been through many! And by having faith and praying I miraculously made it through them.
I know that God loves us and He will never give us more than we can handle.
I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
