TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS

T'was the night before Christmas
And all through the town
Not a sign of Baby Jesus
Was anywhere to be found.

The people were all busy
With Christmas time chores
Like decorating, and baking,
And shopping in stores.

No one sang "Away in a manger,
No crib for a bed".
Instead, they sang of Santa
Dressed-up in bright red.

Mama watched Martha Stewart,
Papa drank beer from a tap.
As hour upon hour
The presents they'd wrap

When what from the TV
Did they suddenly hear?
'Cept an ad.. Which told
Of a big sale at Sears.

So away to the mall
They all flew like a flash
Buying things on credit
And others with cash!

And, as they made
their way home
From their trip to the mall,
Did they think about Jesus?
Oh, no... Not at all.

Their lives were so busy
With their Christmas time things
No time to remember
Christ Jesus, the King.

There were presents to wrap
And cookies to bake.
How could they stop and remember
Who died for their sake?

To pray to the Savior
They had no time to stop.
Because they needed more time
To "Shop til they dropped!"

On Wal-mart! On K-mart!
On Target! On Penney's!
On Hallmark! On Zales!
A quick lunch at Denny's

From the big stores downtown
To the stores at the mall
They would dash away, dash away,
And visit them all!

And up on the roof,
There arose such a clatter
As grandpa hung icicle lights
Up on his brand new step ladder.

He hung lights that would flash.
He hung lights that would twirl.
Yet, he never once prayed to Jesus...
Light of the World.

Christ's eyes... How they twinkle!
Christ's Spirit... How merry!
Christ's love... How enormous!
All our burdens... He'll carry!

So instead of being busy,
Overworked, and uptight
Let's put Christ back in
Christmas and enjoy
Some good nights!

Merry Christmas, my friends!

The Spirit of GOD & Christ Jesus -VS- The Spirit of St Nicolas

People say it's the spirit of Saint Nicholas {Santa Clause} that lives on. As if to say that makes it ok to say that St. Nicholas {Santa Claus} still exist.

But the old man Saint Nicholas died many years ago & has not been risen.

I say it's The Almighty GOD'S Spirit that lives on, through HIS Son Christ Jesus.

But perhaps, when St Nicholas was a live he did love children very much, so much that he gave gifts to them, freely. I don't know, I was not there.

But it wasn't so much his spirit, but the Spirit of The Almighty GOD & Christ Jesus' that perhaps existed in him. And if that is true, then it is The Almighty GOD'S Holy Spirit that's living on & not the spirit of St. Nicholas.

The same Spirit that we all pray for, The Holy Spirit.

Many of us that Worship The Almighty GOD hope to do remarkable righteous things in GOD'S eyes.

Things that stand for Love, Giving, Understanding & sacrificing good things for the sake of others. Who might be - also - less fortunate than others.

We must realize if we want to celebrate Christmas because we love GOD & HIS Son Christ Jesus. Then we should calibrate it for that reason & that reason only, The Birth of Christ; The Gift that The Almighty God gave to us all. A King - Christ Jesus Himself .

Other wise we are acting in a pagan form of worship.

And if we are going to say that the Spirit of Christmas is about the Birth of Christ Jesus, then I believe it's high time we should be treating it that way.

So let the man & his name St.Nicolas {Santa Claus} die with him. But let the Spirit of GOD live on in our hearts, souls & in our minds.

And it now is... the night before Christmas.
Let us not forget the true reason for the season.

Merry Christmas to all of you.

And Thank You God, Jesus and Holy Spirit for all Your love and guidance that You bestow upon us.
