Blinded, not able to really understand the bible??

Loyal
Hi,
Well no rule, it's just how I do it. Over time I have built up knowledge in my own way. Everyone has their own method.
The word “rule” in this context means “standard”. And yes there are over 2.6 billion professing Christian’s in this world and each one it would seem has their own “standard rule” and practice. And I say it is their person right to do so. Especially under the international rules of and defending “Human Rights”.

But concerning myself who does not refer himself a proclaim Christian but a “Child of The Living GOD” not by choice but “Chosen by GOD” before the Foundation of The World. A person who had no choice concerning his Heavenly Birth but Born of GOD. And Bound by HIS will and not my own. For I was purchase by a price that was precious in HIS sight. For I am own not only a son but a bond slave until That “Coronation Day” when I like many others will received our Full inheritance and Sonship. So I am Different and understand the place you stand for we are different and have different goals. You way is the Christianity define by the world institutions. For me I am Of “The WAY” and bound in a divine covenant not by choice but by birth.

So I do understand the choice you have made like many other.

And I judge not for I am a bond slave and have a Master also and I call Him “Lord” for so He is to me. Until That “Coronation Day”:pensive:

Well, why do you “hope” concerning me, Or is that just a “salutation” for me. I say that because that word “hope” is so interesting to me and quite dear to me like it is to many others.

Hi,
Simply as a brother in Christ, I want you to have joy and peace, which can only be from scripture and the holy spirit.
Just pray and the spirit helps you and as you know, prays on your behalf when you do not have words yourself.

I sense you are having a hard time, so I want to encourage you.

2 Peter 1:8–9

8 For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 For whoever lacks these qualities is so nearsighted that he is blind, having forgotten that he was cleansed from his former sins.
Great scripture to prove those who obey get understanding.
Here are more:

John 14:21 The person who has my commandments and obeys them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and will reveal myself to him."

Psalm 25:14 The LORD confides in those who fear Him, and reveals His covenant to them.

Proverbs 1:23 Repent at my rebuke! Then I will pour out my thoughts to you, I will make known to you my teachings.

Proverbs 3:32 for the LORD detests the perverse, but He is a friend to the upright.

Psalm 119:100 I have more understanding than the elders, for I obey your precepts.

Daniel 9:13 As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.

John 8:30 Even as he spoke, many believed in him. 31 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

Psalm 25:9 He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them His way.

2 Timothy 2:25 correcting opponents with gentleness. Perhaps God will grant them repentance and then knowledge of the truth.

Psalm 25:9 He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them His way.

Psalm 25:14 The LORD confides in those who fear Him, and reveals His covenant to them.

Proverbs 3:32 for the LORD detests the perverse, but He is a friend to the upright.

Proverbs 28:5 Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the LORD comprehend fully.

Daniel 12:10 Many will be purified, made spotless, and refined, but the wicked will continue to act wickedly. None of the wicked will understand, but the wise will understand.

John 8:30 Even as he spoke, many believed in him. 31 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

2 Timothy 2:25 correcting opponents with gentleness. Perhaps God will grant them repentance and then knowledge of the truth.

Luke 11:28 He replied, "Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it."

Kind of an oxymoron thing to say when we need His help to understand His words & Him to believe in Him & His words to be able to obey Him when we are trusting Him by His words that He will help us to obey Him..

No one receives understanding until after they obey.

We don’t even have to have understanding to obey, as shown in Proverbs 3:5-6.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Lean not on your own understanding.

That means you don't have to understand, or that you are probably understanding wrong.

In all your ways submit to God.

That means do what God says.

Then He will make your path straight. That is about understanding.

Knowledge, wisdom and understanding in Gods words is given to us by God as a gift. These are mentioned as gifts of the Holy Spirit. So which comes first, repentance of sin and obedience, or the free gift?

It is written that the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. So I would say the gift comes first, then repentance of sin and obedience follow soon after. Paul is a good example of this, one who persecuted the followers of Jesus, but despite this was given the Spirit of grace and understanding being chosen by God.
Not that we continue in sin after the free gift, but we are obedient to God because of the free gift. If obedience earns us the gifts, then it is our works and not Gods Grace. Obedience comes after we are chosen and called by Gods grace.

God gave gifts to the rebellious also….
Psalm 68:18
Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LordGod might dwell among them.

No one receives the Holy Spirit unless they repent of their sins first, and have faith and call on Jesus to help, save, give the Holy Spirit.

John 14:23 Jesus replied, "Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.

Acts 5:32 We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him."

It is written that the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
That doesn't mean we don't have to repent.
So I would say the gift comes first, then repentance of sin and obedience follow soon after. Paul is a good example of this, one who persecuted the followers of Jesus, but despite this was given the Spirit of grace and understanding being chosen by God.
Paul had to repent of his sins before he was saved.

Acts 9:6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

Acts 9:9 And he was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank.

Acts 9:11 The Lord told him, "Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying.

Acts 22:16 And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name.'

Not that we continue in sin after the free gift, but we are obedient to God because of the free gift. If obedience earns us the gifts, then it is our works and not Gods Grace.

People misunderstand Paul about 'not of works' and 'by grace'.
Paul was teaching why the purification works are not done anymore.

Obedience comes after we are chosen and called by Gods grace.

God gives gifts to REPENTANT rebellious.
Yes we must repent of our sins and be obedient to Gods words, but my point is it is Gods goodness that leads you to repentance.

Romans 2:4
Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

You need to clarify about God leading us to repentance, because there are many who preach the falseness that God intervenes and by the Holy Spirit causes one to believe and obey Him.
That is not scripture.
God does not give us His Spirit until after we repent of our sins and believe.
Romans 2:4
Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
Romans 2:1Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. 2But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things. 3And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God? 4Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? 5But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; 6Who will render to every man according to his deeds.

The scripture you gave is about how we have to repent of our sins and or we suffer wrath.

God's goodness leads us to repentance is about our hearing how Jesus died for us, for it is the greatest love ever known.

Nowhere is it about God causing people to believe and obey by giving them the Holy Spirit first, for God does NOT save unbelievers or make unbelievers believe and obey without their wanting and knowing.

I’ll have to disagree with you because the faith to believe is also a gift from God.

Ephesians 2:8
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
The gift of God is that we only have to believe that Jesus' blood purifies us of the sins we repent of doing and we don't have to first get circumcised in the flesh and offer animal's blood.

You are sticking to the faith alone doctrine you chose to believe and you don't want to discuss what the scriptures say?

The gift of God is that we only have to believe
Without the gift of faith you could not believe as the wrath of God would still be abiding on you. Salvation is according to grace period. Otherwise is would be you instigating
your own salvation through a work. The rest is the result of the goodness of God having led thee to change directions and chase after righteousness and life and no longer death.

Since we prophesy in part and know in part and He did say those who are fruitful, He will prune to bear more fruit, it is when we refuse the reproof that we stop abiding in Him & His words as His disciples for why we would be at risk of being cut off when the Bridegroom comes.

1 Corinthians 12:9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. 11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. 13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. As it is, any believer can ask the Lord Jesus Christ to help them receive whatever He has bene trying to tell them in His words, especially if it goes against their church's teachings or even a famous Christian evangelist.

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

John 15:1I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. 3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. 8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. 9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

John 8:
30 As he spake these words, many believed on him. 31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

33 They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?

34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. 35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. 36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

So may the Lord help us to run that race by faith in Jesus Christ being our Good Shepherd to help us to follow him by abiding in him & His words as His disciples so that our joy may be full while bearing fruit.

Hebrews 12:1Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Without the gift of faith
Every one has the ability to believe.
you could not believe
The gift of God is that we only have to believe that Jesus' blood purifies us of the sins we repent of doing and we don't have to first get circumcised in the flesh and offer animal's blood.
as the wrath of God would still be abiding on you.
A person has to repent of sins to get saved and believe that Jesus' shed blood on the cross washes them clean.
Anyone and everyone can believe.

Those who don't---it is because they love their sin more and don't want to stop their sins.

Salvation is according to grace period.
No one enters that grace unless they repent and believe that Jesus' shed blood washes away their sins.

Otherwise is would be you instigating
your own salvation through a work.
It is never ever shameful to obey Jesus and repent of our sins!
The works that no longer save are the works of the law.
The works of the law are the purification/ceremonial works people had to do to work at purifying themselves just to be called a child of God's, just to be able to go to the temple to be near God's Spirit.
Jesus does THOSE works now---but we have to have faith that he does!

We still have to obey God---we just don't have to get circumcised in the flesh and give animals sacrifices and the other works of the law!
