  1. My wife lived with another man for several years before we met.

I lived with another woman for several years as well.

Then we met and lived together for a year before we got married. We decided that we needed to make things right with the Lord.

My 24 year old daughter lives with her 26 year old boyfriend. They both have jobs. My daughter is entering graduate school soon.

My wife has a problem with them sleeping together when they visit us. I do not.

They're adults. They live together. It's their lives and their business.

Had they been teenagers and/or just dating my view would be different.

    What say you?

  2. In your home, it is your business!

"Abstain from all appearance of evil. I Thess 5:22

"If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple." Luke 14:26

This doesn't mean that we do not love our natural family but we must certainly hate their wicked ways even as we must hate any wicked ways that are still in us. We cannot clean up our act or their act all alone, but we must certainly do all that we can to please God.

You are a Christian, a follower of Christ. You cannot change the ways that other people live and the ways that they fail to please God, but where you have control, should you not do all that you can to make it right?

In this society adults may do almost any outrageous thing that they where all parties consent remain within the limits of man's law. This doesn't make all of those things right in the eyes of God. Your adult children are no longer under your care and no longer subject to your discipline, but your home should be. To keep your children happy, will you displease God?

  3. Hi @Dias3

    I agree with brother amadeus.

Look to the Lord and His word, seek His ways for your household, not the ways of the world
Don't condone something that is wrong for the sake of anyone even your family.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
    Philippians 4:8-9

  4. Unfortunately children emulate what their parents do. There is no surprise there. Letting these two to sleep together in your home, is the same thing as asking the devil to come into your house.
You are in a hard place, and you must decide to do the right thing.
