Ye of Little Faith

Loyal
This Topic of being of little Faith has sparked more doctrinal arguments probably more then any other line of scripture.

Jesus knew what He meant but the church simply does not. So let's look at this and get it settled in your thinking once and for all.

Let's start with one of the more used uses of this.....Matthew 14:31

This takes place right after Peter walked on the water. Now Jesus said....
And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

Seriously Jesus? Little Faith? The man just walked on water and is the only man who has other then Jesus.. So little Faith?
How can this be when....we only need faith the size of a mustard seed?

Matthew 17:20. AMPC
He said to them, Because of the littleness of your faith [that is, your lack of firmly relying trust]. For truly I say to you, if you have faith [that is living] like a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, Move from here to yonder place, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you

The New Testament is full of Scriptures explaining Little Faith.....

James 1:4 is Referring to when trials and tribulations are at hand.....
Our Faith is being Tried and Tested.

But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.......
We see here Scripture says be patient .
Biblical Patience is being the Same constantly at all times. Not moved by anything but the Word of God says no matter what.

Ephesians 6:13
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

This Backs up Biblical Patience found in James.

Mark 11:23-24
23For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Again this backs up Biblical Patience and the Ability to Stand Without Doubt and Wavor and giving up.

There is so much more in the scriptures about this but for now these will do.

Ye of Little Faith.....
Short Lived Faith.
Faith that gives up and quits before it has delivered the desired result.

It's not the SIZE OF FAITH in Question but the Strength or Endurance of the Faith.
True Biblical Faith Needs to go the distance without giving up or stopping.

Now we have an enemy the devil who will be working 24/7/365 to keep you from reaching your goal or receiving what your Faith is Believing For.

That's why we MUST TAKE EVERY SINGLE THOUGHT CAPTIVE.
What we think is what we become. Our Thinking will determine if our Faith Can Last and go the distance.

My friend I can give reason for 'little faith' in the church....
In the last days, we are facing an enemy the early Church never faced. The Watchers have been imprisoned since 3000 BC. As their release began around the turn of the twentieth century, socialism, communism, and liberalism weakened both Western society and the Church. Technology has redefined (or replaced) interpersonal relationships, and certain breakthroughs have created a false sense of humans wielding the power of the gods. The Watchers have joined ranks with the principalities, powers, rulers of darkness, spiritual wickedness, the demonic Nephilim spirits, and the Luciferian Elite. They are preparing for the greatest spiritual war of human history, while the Church at large is
mesmerized, is enthralled with entertainment, and has taken up permanent residence in spiritual preschool!
We seldom pray, much less know how to commune with God. We use grace as an excuse for our immaturity and lack of responsibility before God instead of as a spiritual force to work out our salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12). Church services are no longer places where we are to be confronted with spiritual reality and the gospel; they are now places where we go to be entertained and presented psychobabble/New Age jargon to feel better about ourselves. No spiritual depth, no real, life-transforming power flows from the cross of Christ, and biblical illiteracy is at an all-time high! Today, the Church is NOT “Rapture ready” (regardless of which eschatological position you take). For the most part, the modern Church is wearing Babylonian garments and has forsaken the kingdom’s robes of righteousness. We must awaken from spiritual slumber and change!
It is time to bring our spiritual “A” game. We need to get out of entertainment mode and get back to the basic spiritual disciplines of an authentic biblical faith. We need to turn off the TV more often (to include much of Christian TV that has been infected with Babylon) and learn spiritual devotion again, because it leads to a sanctified life filled with the power of God

For some of what you have written, I plead ignorance of the subject matter, but with the majority of it I can only say Amen my Brother in Christ!! I'll say it again Amen!
