The power of passion (3)
'I must be about my Father's business.' LUKE 2:49
Look at the life of Jesus. When he was 12 He told His folks, 'I had to be in my Father's house.' Later He told His disciples, 'We must do the work of the one who sent me here' (John 9:4). Jesus knew what He was sent here to do and He didn't let anything or anybody get in His way!!!
When you plan your life around your God-given talent maybe you'll get laughed at by people but they don't know who you really are and what's burning inside you!!! Ask yourself, 'Would I rather live with the pain of taking a chance, or the pain of wishing I'd done something but now it's too late?' Hmmmmmm...?'
Leader dude, Dr John Maxwell describes a decision to change that he made, 'I noticed that my talents would be used better if my passion was the same as my plans. I was wasting time doing things I didn't really want to do and doing things I didn't really have the talent to do. It changed my life! My problems and all the stuff that was in my way didn't just go away though, but it gave me the courage to face them with greater energy and excitement.' If your plans are not side by side with your passion, you best start planning around your passions; make some changes today!
