Spiders (6) - Size doesn't matter!
'THE SPIDER SKILLFULLY GRASPS WITH ITS HANDS, AND IS IN KINGS' PALACES.' PROVERBS 30:28
The size of the spider doesn't determine its potential - sometimes the smallest are the deadliest! Don't make the mistake of thinking you can't make a difference just because you're young. Jesus challenged us all to '... go and make followers of all people in the world' (Matthew 28:19 NCV). That means you!
You can have a huge impact among your friends - just as spiders (no matter how big or small) shoot out threads, you need to be sending out the message of Jesus. You might not feel like your web is as strong as your mate's, or your youth leader but that's not the point. The point is to share the message whatever the result. 'Some other seed ... grew and produced a crop. Some plants made a hundred times more, some made sixty times more, and some made thirty times more' (Matthew 13:8 NCV).
Should you expect exactly the same results as your mates do when you tell others? No. The results are up to God. So don't be freaked out coz your mate brought five new guys to church and you've only invited one. We don't all produce the same; but we do have to produce at some level. You're only accountable for what God gives you! These things can take time. Be encouraged by the little differences, and, by the grace of God, keep making that web!
