'... God doesn't want his children holding grudges.' Philippians 4:2

What kind of a friend are you? Are you the 'forever friends' kind or more like 'forever falling-out friends'? Euodia and Syntyche were two women who worked alongside Paul starting up the early church (read all about how the church began in Acts). It was a well exciting time; God was doing loads of miraculous stuff and many people were becoming Christians every day, but what's sad is that the only thing said about them in the Bible is that they couldn't get along with each other:

'I urge Euodia and Syntyche to iron out their differences and make up.' They must have fallen out big time if that's the only thing that's mentioned about them. It must have really affected everyone around them too. 'God doesn't want his children holding grudges.' Why? Because it stops us receiving from Him what we need most; His forgiveness.

Jesus said: '"Pray for absolutely everything, ranging from small to large. Include everything as you embrace this God-life, and you'll get God's everything. And ... remember that it's not all asking. If you have anything against someone, forgive - only then will your heavenly Father be inclined to also wipe your slate clean of sins"' (Mark 11:24-25).

Serious stuff. Think twice before you start arguing over 'who did what to whom.' Be bigger than that! 'Make it as clear as you can to all you meet that you're on their side, working with them and not against them' (v4).
