No fear
'When I am afraid, I will trust in you.' PSALM 56:3
There's a company called 'NO FEAR' that makes a packet selling T-shirts to people who are into dangerous sports; or people who are trying to pretend they're into dangerous sports! Well we all know that just getting out of bed in the morning can be a risky business (especially if you're on the top bunk) so how do we live and enjoy our lives fully without being a prisoner to fear? In one of his poems David said, 'When I am afraid I put my trust in you'.
Some people want a cast iron guarantee that everything will go according to plan, before they step out to do anything new. More often than not progress involves risk; and often risk involves fear and fear distorts your view of God. It tells you you're not in safe hands; that He's not big enough to take care of you. DON'T LISTEN!
You need to walk through your fears to discover what God has for you on the other side? If you give in to fear now you'll just end up in a comfy chair vegging in front of your telly wondering, 'What could have happened, if only I'd trusted God more?' ONE MORE TIME; 'When I am afraid I put my trust in you'. So get moving! Don't let the voice of fear rob you of your destiny!!
