It's not fair!
'The wicked man earns deceptive wages, but he who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.' Proverbs 11:18
A man asked for a member of his family to be left unmentioned in a book that was being written about his family history. The reason was that he wanted to hide the awful truth that this relative had been sentenced to death by electric chair for committing murder. 'No need to do that', said the biographer. 'I can report the situation in such a way that there will be no embarrassment to you. I'll just write that his death came as a real shock.' OK, sick joke alert! But seriously, the Bible teaches us that once we've died, there's nothing else that can be done in order to get us ready to meet God (Hebrews 9:27).
It won't matter what people write about you or say about you to make you look good. God knows all about you, and you will be judged by Him. Life can seem so unfair sometimes; some people get away all sorts of bad stuff, others make lots of money from doing wrong things, innocent people suffer.
But remember, ultimately God is in control, He will be the judge, and the rewards some dodgy people appear to be getting for doing wrong, God promises, won't last long. 'Evil people get rich for the moment, but the reward of the godly will last.' Concentrate on being the best you can be and let God be the judge of others.
