It doesn't matter
'IT DOESN'T MATTER. THE IMPORTANT THING IS...THEY ARE PREACHING ABOUT CHRIST. SO I AM HAPPY' PHILIPPIANS 1:18
Imagine you have a Great Uncle George who owns a corner shop and invites you round. Behind the counter there's row upon row of sweets. As you stand eyes bulging and mouth drooling Great Uncle George says, 'Take what you want!' WHAT? WOW!! All this stuff... for FREE! You fill your pockets with all you can carry! God tells us that He has loads of good things stored in Heaven for us to have FOR FREE! (Deuteronomy 28:12) So nothing matters because, no matter what is going on, God will take care of us and provide for all our needs. Even when our problem is other people!
Paul wrote today's Bible verse when he was stuck in prison and some other Christians were causing him hassle, making it worse for him instead of better. Paul knew about all the stuff God has stored in Heaven. He knew it wasn't worth worrying or arguing over. God would sort it! That's why he was able to say...'it doesn't matter'.
All God asks is that we do the best we can for Him in whatever situation we're in and rely on Him to take care of the rest! Even taking care of other people. So if you're feeling hassled, annoyed, anxious because of feelings towards other people, go and ask God to fill you full of stuff from His Heavenly warehouse, and then say it doesn't matter!
