How long?
'...having done all...stand...' Ephesians 6:13
Have you ever watched 'Unbreakable' on Channel 5? You see a bunch of nutters, doing crazy stuff, fighting to survive; and what for? Nothing! There's no prize at all; it's crazy. You'd think with the amount they go through, there would be an amazing prize. As a Christian, you'll face some pretty tough fights too; with the devil. But you'll be pleased to know that when it comes to fighting with the devil, there is a prize! 'Blessed is the man who endures...when he has been approved, he will receive the crown...' (James 1:12 NKJV). 'Endures' means you're being tested; can you stick it out?
'Approved' means that with victory comes great things. So although it's tough when you feel like you're being attacked by everyone and everything, and you're stretched to your limits, stick with it. 'Having done all ... stand'. You may ask how long the attack will last, but there's no set answer, Daniel's prayers took three weeks until the angel came (Daniel 10:13). The enemy is relentless, so you must be too. Don't give up. Pray, pray and pray some more.
Your persistence will overcome the enemy's resistance ... in the end. '...you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise' (Hebrews 10:36 NKJV). So stay there, keep fighting, and God will come to your aid.
