Do you know Him?
'... without Me you can do nothing.' John 15:5
'Without Me you can do nothing,' said Jesus, letting us know that the only way to live life right, is through knowing Him. This can seem maddeningly confusing at worst and a little irritating at best! But when we get to know who Jesus is, it begins to make sense.
Preacher SM Lockridge's once gave a six-and-a-half minute description of Jesus. Listen to some of the things he said (search on YouTube for the whole thing. It's worth it!): 'He's ... the King of Kings ... the Lord of Lords ... the greatest phenomenon that has ever crossed the horizon of this world ...
He's the centrepiece of civilisation ... He's the only one qualified to be an all-sufficient Saviour ... He strengthens and sustains ... He guards and He guides ...He heals the sick ... He forgives sinners ... He blesses the young ... He's the key to knowledge ... His life is matchless ... His goodness is limitless ... His love never changes ... His word is enough ... His grace is sufficient ... He's indescribable, He's incomprehensible, He's invincible, He's irresistible ... You can't out live Him and you can't live without Him ... Death couldn't handle Him and the grave couldn't hold Him ... Do you know Him?'
The more you get to know Jesus, the more incredible He becomes, the more you know you need Him and the more thankful you become in knowing that...'without Jesus you can do nothing.'
