A life worth following
'WATCH WHAT GOD DOES, THEN DO IT.' EPHESIANS 5:1
Face it; life would be easy if we didn't have to deal with people. But people matter to God and they should matter to us! Like being part of a family and knowing what's best for your own children, you need to spend time getting to know the people who depend on you and look up to you. Learn what makes them tick and what they're passionate about. Try and find ways to encourage them, instead of seeing them as time consuming and a lot of effort. God always has time for you, any time, day or night and never makes you feel like an inconvenience to Him.
Jesus spent most of His time with people, not talking in 'holier-than thou' clich's, but loving and encouraging them. And He said, 'Love each other as I...loved you' (John 13:34 NCV).
It's always easier to ask people to do something, when you're behaving the same way in your own life. But how do you learn how to behave? Check this out: "Watch what God does, and then you do it, like children who learn proper behaviour from their parents...
. Keep company with him and learn a life of love. Observe how Christ loved us. His love was not cautious but extravagant. He didn't love in order to get something from us but to give everything of himself to us. Love like that (Ephesians 5:1-5 TM).
