Do the right thing
'He guides me along right paths.' PSALMS 23:3
Do the right thing. It's not easy, but do the right thing. Downloading that new album illegally, that's the easy thing, but it aint the right thing. Copying your mate's homework on the bus, that's the easy thing, but it aint the right thing. If you're asking whether something is a safe thing to do? Or whether it's the popular thing to do, perhaps you should be rephrasing it into, 'Is it the RIGHT thing to do?'. But how can you tell if it's right when everybody else seems to be doing it.
a) pray about it. If you aint got peace about something, that might be a good indicator to think again
b) check the word. A good Youth Bible should point you in the right direction over all life's important stuff
c) get good advice. Don't just talk to someone who doesn't know right from wrong, ask a sound, wise Christian about it; perhaps they might have struggled with the same thing at some point.
The choices you make shape how you'll live your life. Saying you're a Christian and living like a caveman don't match up; its like saying you're a car just because you sleep in a garage! If you want to walk with the Lord, you've got to let Him guide you. That might sometimes mean making the unpopular choice in life, hey! Its not always easy doing the right thing.
