The Petrol Of Purpose
'You, Lord, give perfect peace to those who keep their purpose firm' Isaiah 26:3
What is it with some folk? Their DNA seems to be made up of moans, groans and complaints. They expect the world to entertain and pamper them and when the world fails to comply, they disguise their face as a slapped derriere!
Problems arise when you run your engine on unleaded whinging. But find your purpose in life and your ride will be a whole load smoother.
For instance, ever noticed how some people seemed to have steam rising from their demanding diary and yet they never seem to be actually achieving anything?
Being busy doesn't necessarily mean you're being effective. When you're not clear about your purpose you'll try to do too much. The reality is you'll only ever have enough time and energy to do God's will.
Jesus was able to say 'It is finished' after just thirty-three years because He never strayed from His purpose. Know your purpose and you'll know peace: 'You, Lord, give perfect peace to those who keep their purpose firm.' Knowing your purpose gives you momentum.
Instead of scratching around in the dark trying to figure out how you could make a name for yourself, pray. God created you for His purposes - why not download your destiny direct from heaven?
Your momentum, your drive, your energy should all come from your prayer life. Trying to change the world through sheer muscle and brain cells is always going to be second best to impacting the planet God's way.
