Powerful
'...We have not stopped praying for you...' Colossians 18:9
'I have the power!' shouts Prince Adam as he raises his sword into the air and is transformed into He-Man! How often do you wish you had power to overcome the obstacles that come your way? James 5:16 says; '...The prayer of a person living right with God is something powerful to be reckoned with...' (TM).
Would you like your life to be different? Pray! Do you want bullying to be a thing of the past in your school? Then pray! Would you like your community, your city, your country to be a safer, fairer place to live? Then pray! This power is available 24/7. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says '...pray all the time...' (TM).
The apostle Paul knew the power of prayer. Writing to his friends back at a church he helped to plant, he said, 'we have not stopped praying for you.' He knew that no matter where he was, what he was doing, by prayer his friends could be helped.
Why not tap into this power more by using your everyday life as prayer reminders? Like using a friend's name as your computer password so every time you type it you pray for them.
Set an image of something you want to pray for on your screensaver, so when you see it you pray. Type 'Stop the Traffik' on your mobile's background - praying for an end to human trafficking each time you text or call. There's loads more ideas you can think of. Be consistent in prayer.
