'God charts the road you take' Psalm 1:6
How does God speak to us? The R.I.G.H.T. way of course! We just have to make sure we're listening. Here's what I mean:
Relationships: Are you hanging out with Christians? Hebrews 13:7 says, 'Appreciate your pastoral leaders who gave you the Word of God'. God will speak to us through the men and women who are leaders in church - so make sure you get around them so you can hear what He's saying.
Ideas: Sometimes a good idea will just pop into our heads. Revelation 3:8, 'I've opened a door before you that no one can slam shut.' If it's God speaking He'll give you all you need to make that idea a reality.
Gifts: God speaks to us when we use the gifts and talents He's given us. 1 Peter 4:10 says, 'Be generous with the different things God gave you, passing them around so all get in on it.' We'll discover more about God this way.
Hope: Never think God has forgotten you: 'God charts the road you take'. He never stops communicating with you. First Peter 13:1 says, 'Be alert and think straight. Put all your hope in how kind God will be to you.'
Thoughts: Switch your way of thinking into God's way of thinking, and you'll hear God. Romans 12:2 says, 'Let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.'
