It's not that some people are brainy, it's just they know how to pass exams. Ask them if they understand the difference between 'Photosynthesis' and 'Photoshop' and they'll be left scratching the fluff on their chins. And yet they could probably still pass GCSE Science because they learned the right bite-size chunks to quote on a test paper.
Knowledge and wisdom is not the same thing. Having a head full of facts and quotes may come in handy for Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? but it won't help you get to grips with life.
Knowledge gives the correct answer; wisdom gives insight. So when a best friend tells you she's thinking about sleeping with the school Romeo; the knowledge of human biology says there's a scientific probability that she may leave the situation with either an infection or new life growing inside her.
Wisdom says there's an emotional probability that she will leave the situation feeling used, hurt and regretful.
Knowledge quotes relevant verses regarding sex outside of marriage. Wisdom understands who the verses benefit. Knowledge says the verses are surely outdated because 'everybody does it, don't they'?
Wisdom says the verses never change because people never change; that sex outside of marriage is not the best that God has intended for us. With wisdom, it's not what you know but who you know.
